Why the Coming Depression will be Worse Than the Last
The media will not tell us the truth, or when they do it's
because it's become old news. The truth just isn't in them; their
job, as they see it, is to please their employer and not report
the news. If you've ever watched any of the old movies from the
thirties, there is always the character of the hot-tempered
editor, yelling and screaming for the reporters to get the story.
Today with calm dispassion they say, "You're a damn fine reporter,
you're fired! It came down from corporate this morning." Dan
Rather is case in point but only because he was a household name.
No one likes a person crowing about being right, so I won't. I'll
just say that I've been calling this a depression for over a year.
Not a Great Depression, but a New Dark Age!

'Dark side' of Columbus now taught!
Columbus' stature in U.S. classrooms has declined somewhat through
the years, and many districts will not observe his namesake
holiday on Monday.
"The whole terminology has changed," said James Kracht, executive
associate dean for academic affairs in the Texas A&M College of
Education and Human Development. "You don't hear people using the
word 'discovery' anymore like they used to. 'Columbus discovers
America.' Because how could he discover America if there were
already people living here?"
In Texas, students start learning in the fifth grade about the
"Columbian Exchange" -- which consisted not only of gold, crops and
goods shipped back and forth across the Atlantic Ocean, but
diseases carried by settlers that decimated native populations.
In McDonald, Pa., 30 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, fourth-grade
students at Fort Cherry Elementary put Columbus on trial this year
-- charging him with misrepresenting the Spanish crown and
thievery. They found him guilty and sentenced him to life in
prison.
Kracht said an emerging multiculturalism led more people to
investigate the cruelties suffered by the Taino population in the
1960s and '70s, along with the 500th anniversary in 1992.
New Jersey students were forced to stand in a cafeteria and not
allowed to eat while other students teased and intimidated them --
apparently so they could better understand the suffering
indigenous populations endured because of Columbus.
Whitopia
Those 'Best Places to Live'
A lot of people moved when they began hearing gunfire at night.
For his book, Searching For Whitopia, Rich Benjamin lists every
city and county in the U.S. that is "whiter than the nation, its
respective region, and its state." He calls these enclaves
"Whitopias."
Once Benjamin identified the Whitopias, he immersed himself in
them. He wanted to find out why more and more whites are moving to
small towns and exurban areas that are, for the most part, white.
He even spent time living in three, in Forsythe County, Ga., Couer
d'Alene, Idaho, and St. George, Utah.
Imagine moving to a place where you can leave your front door
unlocked as you run your errands, where the community enjoys a
winning ratio of playgrounds to potholes, where you can turn your
kids loose at 3 p.m., not to worry, then see them in time for
supper, where the neighbors greet those children by name, where
your trouble-free high school feels like a de facto private
school, where if you decide to play hooky from work, you can drive
just twenty minutes and put your sailboat on the water, where the
outdoor serenity is shattered only by each seagull's cry, where
you can joyride your off-road vehicles (Snowmobiles! ATVs!
Mountain bikes! Rock crawlers!) on Nature's bold terrain, where
your family and abundant friends feel close to the soil, and where
suburban blight has yet to spoil your vistas. Just imagine.

... And how many people like being FORCED to live among those they
dislike, or are even ambivalent about?
'Multiculturalism' is a tool of manipulators and is ultimately

Anyway, I was watching "Ku Klux Klan: A Secret History" on the
History Channel last night and one of the Klansmen they talked
about was someone I wasn't familiar with. I'm referring to Louis
Beam, a Vietnam Vet who was in the Louisiana KKK and later Aryan Nations.
He was an early proponent of the "Leaderless Resistance" strategy.
I'm a little confused, Tom, because I thought you were the
originator of the "Leaderless Resistance" strategy. Beam wrote an
essay entitled "Leaderless Resistance" in 1983. Here it is:

In the essay, Beam stated that the concept of leaderless
resistance was proposed by Col. Ulius Louis Amoss, who was the
founder of International Service of Information Incorporated,
located in Baltimore, Maryland. According to Beam, Col. Amoss
first started writing about leaderless resistance way back in
1962. Is this true, Tom? Is leaderless resistance the brainchild
of the late Col. Amoss?

How we laughed when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel peace
prize. It was like giving a man a gong for helping to put out a
fire that he himself had been stoking up.
It was almost as funny as the news in 2007 that Tony Blair had
been appointed a special peace envoy to the Middle East -- yes, the
Middle East -- on behalf not just of the United States and Russia
but also of the United Nations and the European Union. For those
who enjoy gallows humour, the regular appointment of mass
murderers and kleptocrats to the UN's human rights commission is
also quite amusing.
How do all these circles get squared? What makes these
international bigwigs put together all these preposterous deals?
One thing is reasonably clear, through the fog of war and
diplomacy, and it is that there is nothing reliably noble about
the Nobel prize. Many of the people who ought to have won it
didn't. Several who certainly shouldn't have won it did, such as
Yasser Arafat and Le Duc Tho of communist North Vietnam.
So I should not have been surprised to hear that Barack Obama has
been offered the prize. What does surprise and sadden me is that
he has accepted it. Like millions of other people, I admire Obama.
I, too, was caught up in the general elation that a country with a
shameful history of racism, my father's country, could find a
clever, well qualified, eloquent and charismatic candidate who was
also black and then vote him into the White House. I thought then,
and I still hope, that he may achieve great things.

White youth should stay away from racist organizations.. Placing
yourself under commanders and consorting with strangers isn't
smart. A "group norm" should be reduced to the local level.

NYPD Tracks
Cell Phone Owners
The NYPD is amassing a database of cell phone users, instructing
cops to log serial numbers from suspects' phones in hopes of
connecting them to past or future crimes. A recent internal memo
says that when cops make an arrest, they should remove the
suspect's cell phone battery to 'avoid leakage' - then jot down
the International Mobile Equipment Identity number.
There are limits to IMEI usefulness - all Chinese-made cells sold
in India have the same number and some overseas cells are embedded
with fake numbers.
The cell phone information joins another database of more than 20
million 911 callers that the NYPD has been building.

U.K. Faced 'Bank Runs, Riots' Last Year
A year ago, Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc and HBOS Plc were
close to collapse, causing a chain reaction that could have ended
with riots in U.K. cities, security analysts and economists said.
Bank failures would have forced the government to cancel police
leave and deploy troops as the breakdown of the financial payments system
threatened the ability of utilities to provide essential services.
'You are talking about a situation with mass disorder and panic,'
a former Royal Navy officer said in an interview. "There would be
riots, pandemonium, everyone fending for themselves.'
The Exchequer and Bank of England readied a 250 billion-pound
($398 billion) rescue for the banks in the 16 hours before they
opened for business the following day. The Treasury declined to
say if it had a contingency plan for the two banks, then or now.
In Iceland, occasionally violent protests erupted for months after
the government's nationalization of Glitnir Bank hf and the
country's two other biggest banks in October. The crisis caused
Iceland to become the first western country to seek International
Monetary Fund assistance in 32 years.
'Trust has returned, but there is too much trust and people are
taking risks blindly,' said LSE's Tom Kirchmaier. 'If you look at
the market, people assume it is back to normal, but there are huge
risks in the system.'
'The problem was way too much money in the system and a demand for
yield,' Simon Maughan said. 'Very little has changed' and banks
may be laying 'the groundwork for the next crisis.'
The banking crisis was the symptom of an unsustainable asset-price
boom 'that began when western monetary authorities began to
believe that inflation was dead,' said David Sayer, head of retail
banking at KPMG.
