Republican Federal politicians on Thursday called for sweeping new federal laws that would require all Internet providers and operators of millions of Wi-Fi access points, even hotels, local coffee shops, and home users, to keep records about users for a minimum of two years to aid government investigations.

Joining Texas Sen. John Cornyn was Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Austin), the senior Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, who said such a measure would let "law enforcement stay ahead of the political criminals."

A 1996 federal law called the Electronic Communication Transactional Records Act regulates data preservation. It requires Internet providers to retain any "record" in their possession for 90 days "upon the request of a governmental entity."

I don't want to sound like a conspiracy nut, but they have been flying pairs of Chinook Helicopters for the last few days it seems with no particular destination. I'm not exactly sure what to make of it, but I have never seen anything like it ever. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area.. Just wondering if anyone in other major cities has been noticing anything out of the ordinary...

The nearest Air Base is Travis in Fairfield CA but it is over 50 miles away and I still don't see what Chinooks would be doing in San Fransisco, this is the first time in at least 20 years that I know of that they have been around, so its not some kind of routine flyover. It seems to me the National Guard is gearing up.

Things in California are looking grim. Arnold just dropped a bunch of government workers and stopped all public works in the state. It's crazy, just a few weeks ago there were utility crews tearing up every road in town and now there are big holes in the middle of the roads and no one working.

It's finally dawning on people that there is a big fucking problem at hand. Everywhere I go people are talking about not being able to find a job. I'm in construction, a plumber. I've been out of work for over six months now. I'm on extended unemployment. I'm going to have to move out of state within the next couple months. Of course it's not just us construction guys feeling it.. My friend's wife has recently been notified that she will no longer have a job as a math teacher come next year. All teachers without a five year tenure or greater are being let go at the end of this school year. I have another friend that works on oil fields. Interestingly enough they are making huge cut backs as well.

I believe the future is bright for us. There is a shift taking place. I've been active in the struggle for fifteen years as a skinhead, a national alliance follower and even a Dukester. The lone wolf tactic is the only solution for the front line defenders of the race. It's time to grow up and face the music. No more boots and swastikas, no more banners and signs.

I think Frank has said what many of us feel. It takes a hell of a lot more balls to keep your mouth shut, blend in with the crowd and make a move, than it does to shave your head and hold a sign. Darkness Rotten Egg Odor Warns Me

(This may sound like just another odd but interesting news blurb to most, and I'm sure that to the people of St. Louis it's just a weird inconvenience. But it set alarm bells off in my head the moment I heard it. Why? Because I've personally been to volcanic sites and hot springs where the smell of rotten eggs is prevalent because of the sulphur gas being emitted by deep fissures in the earth. To me this means that their town is in for a very rude surprise in the very near future, such as a cataclysmic earthquake and volcanic eruption. Sulphur gas isn't emitted by stable ground, only at fault lines. And what most Americans don't know is that one of our most unstable and huge faults runs smack dab through the middle of that city! That fault runs through all of Missouri, Oklahoma and several other heartland states and has had some awesome earthquakes in our recent past. A couple centuries ago whole sections of Missouri and Arkansas were abandoned by settlers because of the constant devastating earthquakes and geologic upheavals. Hot vents of sulphur gas, steam, and even lava geysered up all over the place and the earthquakes kept leveling everything they rebuilt until they finally left, announcing that God had cursed the land. It's only been in the past 100 years that serious settlement recurred. Geologists have been warning for decades that another monster earthquake was overdue in the region, and now they're getting sulphur? Too close to 2012 for me!)... JOOM
