Gulager The Jews developed an institution called the kahal (plural kehalim). Although the word originally signified "community," it came to be applied to an exclusive administrative council which served as intermediary between the Jewish world and the public authorities.

In Poland, the kehalim collected the Crown's taxes (receiving the Crown's patronage in return); collected funds for the social needs of the Jews; established the rules which governed commerce and industry; exercised judicial authority over the Jewish population; and paid the salaries of Rabbis.

The kehalim were jealous of their authority, which they frequently abused for personal ends. Accordingly, they were unpopular with ordinary Jews and relied mainly on the support of the Polish Crown to maintain their position.

Both the rabbinate and the kehalim worked to keep ordinary Jews isolated from the surrounding society, in part by minutely regulating their activity and keeping their minds focused on ritual obligations.

Polish landowners commonly ignored their estates, preferring to hire the services of Jewish overseers for terms of just one to three years. These overseers had every incentive to squeeze profit out of the estates during their brief tenure, even at the expense of future productivity. They provided the peasants seed and tools for farming at three times the market rate and bought the resulting produce at below market prices, both extortions made possible by a monopoly granted and enforced by the Polish gentry. Many Jews also worked as distillers or tavern keepers on the estates or in rural villages.

The drunkenness of the peasants and the rapacity of the Jewish distillers combined to divert grain to vodka production which otherwise would have gone to make bread.

Feelin' lucky? HARTFORD - Hal Turner worked for the FBI from 2002 to 2007 as an "agent provocateur" and was taught by the agency "what he could say that wouldn't be crossing the line," defense attorney Michael Orozco said.

"His job was basically to publish information which would cause other parties to act in a manner which would lead to their arrest."

Prosecutors have acknowledged that Turner was an informant who spied on radical right-wing organizations, but the defense has said Turner was not working for the FBI when he allegedly made threats against Connecticut legislators and wrote that three federal judges in Illinois deserved to die.

"But if you compare anything that he did say when he was operating, there was no difference. No difference whatsoever," Orozco said.

Orozco spoke to reporters after a court hearing in Hartford on August 11. Turner, 47, of North Bergen, N.J., did not appear, because he is in federal custody in Illinois. His arraignment on the Connecticut charges was rescheduled to Oct. 19.

Removing Chlorine From Water

Is your chlorinated water killing you? Water suppliers began chlorinating water early in the twentieth century to reduce the spread of water-borne pathogens such as cholera and typhoid fever. Although the water treatment was successful, many other chronic diseases began, such as heart disease and cancers, causing many individuals to seek a quick way to remove the chlorine from their water supply prior to drinking or bathing. There are a number of different methods for removing chlorine, depending on your need.

Option 1 - Some water supplied by cities and counties is so chlorinated, the water is almost white and even comes out of the pipe with a smoke-like puff. This is some serious chlorination that really should be removed by a whole house filtration system. These whole house systems typically utilize reverse osmosis.

Option 2 - For normal chlorine levels, there's a simpler way to remove the chlorine from your drinking water. Install a Brita (or similar) filter that attaches to your faucet. There are also water pitchers with filters available that will purify the water. In-line filters, which sit under your kitchen sink, are also an effective way to remove chlorine.

Option 3 - The least expensive method of filtering your drinking water is by boiling or even setting water out in a large glass container in the sun for a few hours. You can purchase a test kit from a pool supply store to assist you in determining if the C1 has been depleted sufficiently.

Option 4 - Chlorinated bath water can deposit toxins into your skin, which can cause allergies and other skin problems. Special filtered shower heads can be obtained at any home improvement store and are easily screwed in to replace your existing head.

In experiments, a team of Israeli scientists were able to obliterate all traces of DNA from a blood sample and add someone else's genetic material in its place. The process was so successful that it fooled forensic scientists who carry out DNA fingerprinting for American courts.

The findings threaten to undermine the key forensic technique, which has secured thousands of convictions in Britain and around the world. It demonstrates that, in theory, criminals could plant samples of blood or saliva at crime scenes to cover their tracks while leading to innocent people being wrongly convicted.

Dr Dan Frumkin, who led the research, said: "If you can fake blood, saliva or any other tissue, you can engineer a crime scene. You have full control of the situation. Any biology undergraduate could perform this."

The Yankess were treated with Southern hospitality. Do you know the difference between White workers in the North and South? Answer: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Dr. Mr. Metzger,

I work for HBO Sports and am interested in exploring how mixed martial arts or MMA influences a White Nationalist group. We would be interested in learning about specific groups around the country that use MMA to enhance their belief system and their physical being.

In addition, we would want to learn just how important the sport is to the specific group, how it is used as a positive mechanism and how the sport is practiced.

Can you help put me in touch with specific White Nationalist groups that have either organized or somewhat organized MMA training or teams? Or individuals involved in MMA?

'Lone wolves' has to be the gayest concept ever to emerge from WN. It sounds like a Wednesday night get together for single homosexuals who like to cook. 'Lone elves' has a better ring to it.

A lone wolf is a fantasy figure popular with WN mouth-queers but no more existing than a unicorn.
