Dear Tom

This week in my debate class at the local community college we discussed
school segregation. I represented our position quite well and the other students couldn't do better than ad hominem argument.  I even used the "Why of course I'm a racist - aren't you?" and that set them off when some white trash woman asked if I was a racist.  Some of the students even left class and
complained to the instructor after class.  The liberal teacher said I had
the right to think anything I want and that other students had to listen to all ideas presented.  One intelligent black person agreed that blacks in an equally funded blacks only school would do better than in an integrated school.
I made the point quite successfully that "How can a black person be
discriminated against in an all black school and in all black businesses?  It eliminates the racism question all together."

 Keep up the good word Tom, I bought a book from Elijah Mohammed to use next class.  Maybe you could mention my experience and elaborate on Elijah Mohammed next show?

I know David Lane was your best friend. I did not know him as I was born on July 3,1983. I will be 24 soon and as I grew up for a large part of my life here in Everett as a kid in My community Skinheads were big in the late 80's and early 90's and Grew up with them. Robert Bruce Zoellick (born July 25, 1953) is the current United States Deputy Secretary of State. Before his present position, he served as United States Trade Representative from February 7, 2001 until February 22, 2005. He announced his resignation on June 19, 2006 to join investment bank Goldman Sachs as a managing director and chairman of company's International Advisers department.[1]

Background
Zoellick was raised in Naperville, Illinois, and has German ancestors. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1975 from Swarthmore College and received his J.D. from the Harvard Law School and a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government in 1981.[3][4]

Career

Government service (1985-1992)
Zoellick served in various positions at the Department of the Treasury from 1985 to 1988, including Counselor to Secretary James Baker, Executive Secretary of the Department, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions Policy.

"During President George H. W. Bush's Administration, Bob Zoellick served with Secretary of State James Baker as Under Secretary of State for Economic and Agricultural Affairs, as well as Counselor to the Department (Under Secretary rank). In August 1992, Ambassador Zoellick was appointed White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Assistant to the President."[5] Zoellick was also appointed the President's personal representative, or Sherpa, for the G-7 Economic Summits in 1991 and 1992.

Business and Academia, 1993-2001
After leaving government service, Ambassador Zoellick was appointed an Executive Vice President at Fannie Mae (1993–1997).[6][7] Zoellick served as the John M. Olin Professor of National Security at the U.S. Naval Academy (1997–1998), Research Scholar at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and Senior International Advisor to Goldman Sachs.[8][9]

During the 2000 U.S. Presidential election campaign Zoellick served as a foreign policy advisor to George W. Bush as part of a group led by Condoleezza Rice that called itself The Vulcans.

US Trade Representative, 2001-2005
Named U.S. Trade Representative at the beginning of President George W. Bush's first term, Zoellick was a member of the Executive Office, with the rank of Ambassador. According to the U.S. Trade Representative web site, Zoellick completed negotiations to bring China and Taiwan into the World Trade Organization (WTO), developed a strategy to launch new global trade negotiations at the WTO meeting at Doha, shepherded Congressional action on the Jordan Free Trade Agreement and the Vietnam Trade Agreement, and worked with Congress to pass the Trade Act of 2002, which included new Trade Promotion Authority.[10]

Deputy Secretary of State, 2005-2006
On January 7, 2005, President George W. Bush nominated Zoellick to be Deputy Secretary of State. [11] Zoellick assumed the office on February 22, 2005. The New York Times reported on May 25, 2006 that Zoellick, dissatisfied with his perceived inferiority at the State Department, could soon announce his departure. Zoellick, who has served for six years in the Bush Administration, agreed to serve as Deputy Secretary of State for not less than one year. He is seen as a major architect of the Bush Administration's policies regarding the People's Republic of China, and also the approach to a Darfur peace plan.[2]

His desire to return to the private sector has been widely known for months.

Views
Tom Barry, the policy director of the International Relations Center, has written that Zoellick "regards free trade philosophy and free trade agreements as instruments of U.S. national interests. When the principles of free trade affect U.S. short-term interests or even the interests of political constituencies, Zoellick is more a mercantilist and unilateralist than free trader or multilateralist."[12]

Gavan McCormack has written that Zoellick used his perch at USTR to advocate for Wall Street's policy goals abroad, as during a 2004 intervention in a key privatization issue in Japanese Prime Minister's Junichiro Koizumi's re-election campaign. Writes McCormack, "The office of the U.S. Trade Representative has played an active part in drafting the Japan Post privatization law. An October 2004 letter from Robert Zoellick to Japan’s Finance Minister Takenaka Heizo, tabled in the Diet on 2 August 2005, included a handwritten note from Zoellick commending Takenaka for the splendid job he was doing. Challenged to explain this apparent U.S. government intervention in a sensitive domestic matter, Koizumi merely expressed his satisfaction that Takenaka had been befriended by such an important figure... It is hard to overestimate the scale of the opportunity offered to U.S. and global finance capital by the privatization of the Postal Savings System."[13]

While not usually considered a neo conservative, Zoellick has strong affinities with them. In a January 2000 Foreign Affairs essay entitled "Campaign 2000: A Republican Foreign Policy," he was one of the first of those now associated with George W. Bush's foreign policy to invoke the notion of "evil," writing: "[T]here is still evil in the world — people who hate America and the ideas for which it stands. Today, we face enemies who are hard at work to develop nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, along with the missiles to deliver them. The United States must remain vigilant and have the strength to defeat its enemies. People driven by enmity or by a need to dominate will not respond to reason or goodwill. They will manipulate civilized rules for uncivilized ends." The same essay praises the "idealism" of Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. Two years earlier, Zoellick was one of the signatories (along with Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Elliott Abrams, Zalmay Khalilzad, John R. Bolton, Richard Armitage, William Kristol, and others) of a Jan. 26, 1998 letter to President Bill Clinton drafted by the Project for a New American Century calling for "removing Saddam's regime from power."[14]

A central focus of Zoellick since taking the position of Deputy Secretary of State has been Sudan, which he has visited four times. He supports expanding a United Nations force in the Darfur region to replace the African Union soldiers who are struggling to keep the peace there. He was involved in negotiating a peace accord between the government of Sudan and main Darfur rebel group, the Sudan Liberation Army, signed in Abuja, Nigeria in May 2006.

David Lane will be remembered in extremist circles for coining the "14 Words" slogan:  "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children."   This slogan, which redefined white supremacy as a desperate, no-holds-barred fight for the "survival" of the white race, became the most prominent white supremacist motto around the world, influencing neo-Nazis, racist skinheads and other white supremacists on five continents.  Lane also wrote "The 88 Precepts," which provided guidelines for securing the goals of the 14 Words. ("88" is a hate symbol used by neo-Nazis: the eighth letter of the alphabet is "H"; eight two times signifies "HH," shorthand for the Nazi greeting, "Heil Hitler.")

As a prisoner, Lane actually had more influence on the white supremacist movement than he had as a violent revolutionary. Before his incarceration, he had produced anti-Semitic and racist propaganda, blaming Jews and the government for the destruction of the white race.  In prison, serving essentially a life sentence, Lane devoted much of his time to creating propaganda on what he considered "the single greatest issue of all time, racial survival."

Over the years, Lane contributed articles and essays to a variety of white supremacist publications and Web sites.  While incarcerated, Lane and his wife, Katja, founded the 14 Word Press in 1995, a publishing company that served as an outlet for Lane's writings and sold white supremacist paraphernalia.  Katja Lane handed over control over the company to a New Jersey white supremacist in 2001, when Lane announced his "retirement."  Lane, however, continued until his death to write essays and letters to influence the white supremacist movement that revered him as a martyr for the racist and anti-Semitic cause.

I totally agreed with your response to that Korean guy about the race mixing and the fact that the corporations are responsible for this.  I went to Hawaii recently and I have to say that about 80 to 85 percent of the couples you see there are between white men and Asian women. I am pretty sure that most of these guys are in the military. I have to say that some of these Asian women and even the half-breeds are quite beautiful.  But for the most part you have to ask yourself what the hell are these guys thinking. What bothers me even more is that Hawaii still has some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see on this earth but slowly it is being ravaged with all the commercialism that's taken place over there.  Perhaps you're right about increasing gasoline prices so that people stay where they are.

Blowing up petroleum pipelines in a guerrilla warfare situation is very affective because it disrupts the flow of the product in the line. The damage can be great or minimal. It depends on what's inside the pipeline and where it's located. The pipeline operators block the flow in immediately and the emergency response team goes to the site and takes control. It can be very expensive. A lot of times people standing near the explosion are killed.

Much Ado About Nothing

The plot to blow up a jet fuel line, which is pure kerosene, at the JFK Airport doesn't make sense. What did the bandits hope to accomplish. Kerosene is a liquid which means it will make a nice fire but not much of an explosion. The story is stupid and suspicious.

If I decided to blow up a pipeline, my first choice would be an entire metering station consisting of high pressure gas lines. That's what you call a big bang. And if I targeted an oil refinery, I would blow up as much of the tank farm as possible. That's where all the finished product and crude oil storage is kept. It would cause enormous problems for the refinery. Attempting to blow up a process unit is a waste of time. The section damaged would be shutdown and repaired while all units unaffected would stay on-line.

I know every trick in the book. Having been a Class A process operator in oil refineries and gas plants might come in handy if the federals push me in a corner

Before you light the torches and grab the pitchforks I will explain. Most people are unaware that the U.S. never got all the pow's back from the Korea/Red China war. Up until now only a percentage of the citizenry knew that 500 to 700 MIA's were still in North Vietnam slave labor camps.
Kissinger promised the Vietnamese that he would pay 4 billion that was requested to help rebuild Vietnams infrastructure. This agreement was made in Paris at the peace talks. The Vietnamese then released half the POW's. But when Kissinger went to Vietnam he welched on the agreement so the Vietnamese kept half the POWs . Many POWS were no older than 19 so they can and are very much alive.

I lived near the gates of Marine Camp Pendleton for 45 years so my contacts with marines was on a daily basis as they were shipped out and returned. I supported the first half of the war but after volumes of input from returning Marines I began to oppose the WAR. I even refused to pay income taxes and the IRS seized my house. The obscenity of demanding that people say they support the troops as a way of prolonging the occupation is indicative of the lack of any honesty or morality in the White House. Its one of those no win questions cleverly fabricated to make opponents of the occupation appear not to care about the men in uniform. I am a veteran myself and its time to say "IF NOT SUPPORTING THE TROOPS WILL SAVE THE LIVES OF THE TROOPS, THEN SO BE IT".
