Dear Tommy:
I definitely see a problem with the Mexicans running across the border. I
worked in a farm that makes billions of dollars and was the only white
guy
on the labor force. Right now in Washington they are trying to pass
legislation that would allow them permission to work here. The president
says that they are doing jobs that white Americans don't want to do, but
I did that work for a year because we got so many hours. But Mexicans
work like slaves and if they are legal no one will want to hire white
people to do labor anymore. But incidentally organized labor has been
completely silent on this issue. I am fluent in Spanish and believe me
they don't give a rats ass about this country and what else is interesting
about them is that they don't want to learn English When Italians and
Germans and every other country in the world comes here
they learn English but not the wetbacks. They also are cheapskates they
all cheat or want to cheat on their wives I think a lot of times they
molest their daughters. They don't brush their teeth. I also having
grown up in Cleveland don't like niggers, Chinese, and a lot of other
invading motherfuckers. I was raised a Christian and still consider
myself one but I'm also a realist. and we live in a hardball world
and we must protect ourselves and maybe have a little pride in
our people. i love Celtic music when i hear that shit it sometimes
becomes part of me its kind of mystical we were taught to be
ashamed of our culture. Its bullshit

OH BOY!!!
Mistake on Neo-Nazi Web Site Worries Sylvania Resident
Aug 1, 2007 07:11 AM EDT
TOLEDO -- It's a case of mistaken identity. A neo-Nazi
group that had been blasted by Mayor Carty Finkbeiner
took the addresses and phone numbers of the mayor and
his spokesman, Brian Schwartz, and posted them on a web
site to get members stirred up. Thing is -- they posted
The American National Socialist Workers Party announced
last week it planned to visit north Toledo later in
August. When Mayor Finkbeiner's office issued a press
release announcing the mayor's intention to limit the
actions of the group, the group announced its plans to
sue to be able to walk the streets and distribute
fliers. The web page contained information about the
verbal barrage back and forth, and listed the personal
information.
"I guess you don't have to be a member of Mensa to be a
Nazi because these Nazis have got the wrong Brian
Schwartz to target," said Brian Schwartz, the mayor's
spokesman. "They should leave everybody alone."
"I thought, 'Well this isn't good. This isn't good at
all,'" said Brian Schwartz of Sylvania, telling his
reaction when he got the call from the mayor's spokesman
Brian Schwartz alerting him to the situation. The Nazi
web page lists the mayor's information correctly, but
gives the Sylvania Brian Schwartz's address and phone
number.

The Most Dangerous Men In Australia
Published by @ndy August 1st, 2007 in Anti-fascism
Well, according to ZOO (Issue 75, August 6, 2007, pp.40-44) anyway, are:
Dävid Palmer, Imperial Wizard of the Australian Ku Klux Klan : THE NEO-NAZI!
David Innes, anti-immigration writer and radio DJ : THE WHITE SEPARATIST!
John Drew, Australia First Party : THE ANTI-IMMIGRANT ACTIVIST!
Australia is proud of its multiculturalism and fair-go attitude for everyone, no
matter where they’re from. But recently there has been an increase in right-wing
activity across the whole country, from a Ku Klux Klan recruitment drive in
Geelong (”We just want to promote our own race, which is the white race”, one
leader, called the Exalted Cyclops Brian told the Geelong Advertiser) to
protestors calling Townsville the “Ku Klux Klan capital of Australia” over “the
black deaths in custody” trial of Queensland copper Chris Hurley.
Th foiled terror attacks in London and Glasgow, and the arrest of foreign-born
Gold Coast doctor Mohammed Haneef, heightens the risk of inflaming tensions
still running high since the race riots that gripped Sydney in December 2005.
Most people would say that anyone who calls Hitler their hero must be a deranged
lunatic, and yet One Nation’s now-thwarted success and the Cronulla riots show
how just a handful of right-wing extremists can deeply influence the wider
community. With this year’s federal election fast approaching, what effect will
this bizarre racist rhetoric produce?
ZOO spoke to three of Australia’s most extreme white supremacists — not to
promote their views in any way, but to uncover the depths of hatred still
clearly present in Australia.
ZOO also spoke to two anti-racism activists who dedicate themselves to combating
this kind of race-based paranoia: Cam Smith, from anti-racism group Fight Dem
Back, formed in 2005 to expose neo-Nazis in Australia and New Zealand; and
Jeremy Jones, the Director of Community Affairs for the Jewish Affairs Council,
who has been writing about extremist groups for 20 years.
Palmer calls himself ‘Der Führer’ and his ambition is to rid Australia of
multicultural ‘mongrels’ and Jews…
“Jews and other races are destroying our nation by interbreeding. It destroys
our Australian Anglo-Saxon European base culture. We call it multi-mongrel-ism.
The KKK appeals to people because the hoods provide anonymity to our members
who are lawyers, policemen, teachers and tradesmen. We integrated KKK members
with the Australian Nazi Movement, which I formed, to make the National
Socialist Defence of Australian People. The NSDAP is against non-European
immigration…”

CIVIL RIGHTS GROUP SUES KKK IN KENTUCKY: Alabama’s Southern Poverty Law Center
says Klan attacked boy at county fair.
July 30, 2007
*A civil rights group based in Montgomery, Ala is suing the second-largest
Ku Klux Klan group in the United States, claiming several of its members beat a
16-year-old boy at a county fair southwest of Louisville.
According to the Associated Press, The Southern Poverty Law Center said
five members of the Kentucky-based Imperial Klans of America assaulted the boy
at the Meade County Fairgrounds in Brandenburg, Ky., in July 2006. The attack
left the teen with two cracked ribs, a broken left forearm, cuts and bruises.
In the lawsuit, filed Wednesday in Meade County Circuit Court, the center
claims the Klan was recruiting at the Meade County fair by passing out cards and
flyer's advertising a "white only" function. Two Klan members saw the teen,
Jordan Gruver, and began shouting racial epithets.
The two men, Andrew Watkins and Jarred Hensley, threw whiskey in Gruver's
face, knocked him down, kicked him with steel-toed boots and beat him, the
lawsuit states. Along with the physical injuries, the attack left Gruver with
extreme emotional distress. The center is seeking unspecified damages.
Watkins, 28, and Jarred Hensley, 24, of Cincinnati, are each serving three
years in prison after pleading guilty in February to second-degree assault under
extreme emotional disturbance. Each is named as a defendant in the lawsuit, as
is the Klan organization, Edwards, J. Edward of Meade County, Ky., and Joshua
Cowles of Brandenburg. The lawsuit identifies Edward and Cowles as members of
Imperial Klan's of America.
Richard Cohen, president of the Southern Poverty Law Center, said Gruver,
who is an American citizen of Panamanian descent, is afraid of being attacked
again.
"We want to put a stop to this kind of violence," Cohen said. "They
targeted and viciously beat our client solely because he has brown skin."

Here goes Dee's again on one of his fish in a barrel operations. Whenever
he wants to revitalize his mailing list he needs a victim. His winning is never
in question since he overwhelms the court with lawyers that specialize in
barracuda law. If they went after Bush civilly for being a war criminal and
causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, now that would be an
interesting case.
But going after the leader of a plan that only on its best days had a few dozen
people using white guilt on the jury is his specialty. You must
understand he doesn't make the money off the people he sues. He makes it
all off fund-raising. The kid in this case, the Panamanian will get
peanuts in anything. If the Klan leader was smart he would have put all
his material goods beyond Dee's reach. That's the fatal mistake that I
made. Anyone who runs any kind of group today that's considered membership
must put everything they own beyond reach.

My family and other National Socialists
Keith Lowe reviews The Himmler Brothers: a German Family
History by
Katrin Himmler tr by Michael Mitchell
For more than 60 years, the German
people have been struggling with
what they call Vergangenheitsbewältigung, or "the process of coming
to terms with the past". The
collective guilt over Nazi war crimes
has, in one way or another, touched all Germans. But while the
nation is slowly recovering, for
individuals the wounds are still
raw. Many Germans are reluctant to probe too deeply into their
family histories for fear of what they might find: for them, the
past is not so much a foreign country as a restricted area.
Katrin Himmler has been denied this luxury. As she is the
great-niece of Heinrich Himmler, the head of Hitler's SS, the
skeletons in her family closet have always been on public display.
For years, she carried her name like a millstone, consoling herself
that she might lose it once she got married. At school, her
classmates would ask her if she was related to the Himmler, and when
she replied that she was, the whole room would fall into embarrassed
silence.
In this book, she confronts her family history directly. Her focus
is not so much on the evil deeds of her
great-uncle, which are well
documented elsewhere, but on exposing the myths that the rest of her
family has propagated about its past. Katrin was brought up
believing that her great-uncle was an aberration, and that the other
Himmlers were innocent of any wrongdoing.
Her grandfather, for example, had supposedly been quite distant from
his infamous brother, and had certainly
never profited by their
relationship. Her other relatives were similarly blameless: they had
never been remotely interested in politics, and none of them joined
the Nazi party until they were forced to.
It was only when she started to explore the family archives that she
began to realise that this was all untrue. Far from being
uncomfortable about their Nazi relative, the family had actually
been rather proud of him. And, more worryingly, they had agreed with
him - his ideals, his policies and even his methods. The whole clan
had been confirmed Nazis, some of them since the 1920s, and when
Heinrich became Reichsführer SS, they exploited their relationship
with him to further their own careers.
One can only
admire the bravery of Katrin Himmler, but she admits
that she is
probably too close to her subject for the book to work.
Despite her
personal link with the people she describes, she never
quite
manages to bring them to life. She is unable to sympathise
with any of
them, and while this is to her credit, it does not make
for an
intimate study.
Instead, we
are immersed in the mundanity of their everyday lives -
Heinrich's
interest in herbs and flower-arranging, his brother
Ernst's love
of Bavarian pastries, his father's preoccupation with
social
advancement. The family comes across as flat, somewhat dull
and
disturbingly normal, and we are left only with a sense that
their
particular type of evil was, in Hannah Arendt's famous phrase,
banal.
In a way,
however, Katrin Himmler's book is not a story about the
past at all,
but one about the present. The most interesting details
are the
fleeting ones she gives of her own quest.
When she
knocks on the door of a house that her grandfather once
lived in,
the elderly owners look terrified when she explains who
she is. And
when she comes across a document showing that her
grandfather
had denounced Jewish colleagues to his brother, it is
impossible
not to share her dismay.
Perhaps the
most poignant moment in her book is when she reveals
that she is
married to an Israeli man, with whom she has a son. The
child is a
living embodiment of Vergangenheitsbewältigung. He
provides her
with a unique dilemma: one day, when he grows up, she
will have to
explain to him how one side of his family made every
effort to
wipe out the other.
Unsurprisingly, Katrin Himmler had to take lengthy breaks from
writing this
book, because of the upsetting nature of her research.
The fact
that she has seen the project through to the end is a
testament to
how today's Germans are still struggling to come to
terms with
the past. One could multiply her experiences across the
whole of
Germany. The only difference is that Katrin Himmler's
forebears
were not just Nazis: they were the architects of the
Holocaust.

The Germans have carried this fake guilt for over 50 years. I must
commend the Jews and their co-conspirators for the brilliance of their methods.

Terrible Tommy,
I get into a ton of trouble when I go on white nationalist boards and even dare
to assert that Jew's are not a race. Why are people so stupid as to believe
that a bunch of mongrelized pieces of shit like the Jew's are a race???? How
dumb can people be when they don't understand that they are at war with a bunch
of ideological assholes?
--------------------------------------
TT says:
They believe what they're told. The right wing racists leaders are stuck
in that groove. They get confused about the Khazar influence. They had no
connection with the Jews in the Middle East racially. They just took on
the Jewish religion. This is where the stereo type appearance comes
from. People who practice Judaism and live close for long periods of time could
refer to themselves as an ethnic group but still not a race.
Even Hitler knew better. But he went along with this Jewish race thing
because it was too complicated for them to sort out otherwise. A Jew can
be of any race. Don't waste your time on those forums. It's the
blind leading the blind. The stereotype Jew is that Turko Mongoloid hooked nose
creepy looking people. The trouble is most of these people in the right wing
could be fooled very easily by it to from what other racial groups. There
are blue-eyed blond haired tall slender Jews. There are slant eyed
Asiatic Jews. There are black as the ace of spades Jews.
===========================================
Terrible Tommy,
We have already established that Judaism
and Xianity are dying and Islam and Hinduism are strong and growing. What we
further need to establish is the fact that Messianic Judaism or Hebrew
Christianity is growing at an exponential rate.
The only people who are Jewish who are
crazy enough to want to be considered Jewish are people who have faith that G-d
is on their side. No normal Jew or Christian wants to put up with the type of
abuse that the Jews put up with over the millennia and no Xian wants to be
thrown to the lions. Although there are missionaries in foreign lands that do
wind up being persecuted.
According to the Jewish Press some months ago,
the number of Hebrew Christians is now up to 300K which is exponentially higher
than what it was back in ’73 when I got involved in the Jesus movement for the
first time. I was in Jews for Jesus’ headquarters back a few years ago and one
of the missionaries told me that there were 200K Messianic Jews and I had heard
there were only 150k at that time.
I asked Rick Ross how many Messianic Jews there
are and he said only about 25K but I think Rick tends to underestimate the
facts. Rick also claims that Chabad only has about 50K people worldwide and
that is in to my knowledge a great underestimation. Chabad has about 40K people
in the NY area alone and K’far Chabad in Israel also has a large group. They
also have emissaries strewn out all over the world as part of their ufaratzta
(“you shall spread forth, far and wide”) policy.
The followers of rabbi Meir Kahane have a
website that’s a Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Maoz) called Me’oz and they
said that “worse than Jews for Jesus is Jews for nothing.” See what I’m driving
at?
Essentially we have about 1.9 billion
monotheist who are going out of business and it won’t stop unless something
radically changes. There indeed seems to be no hope for the Jews and everyone
was talking about it October 22 of ’94 at the levaya (“funeral”) of Rabbi
Shlomo Carlebach.
The quality of the Jewish leadership is also
going downhill at an exponential rate. There is a general principal that in
every generation the order of the souls (neshamot) are on a decreasing and
lower level from that of the preceding generations.
There is a Yahoo Group for the Satmar
Chasidim and they were complaining about how the Torah world’s leadership in
recent years and especially after WWII lacked compared to that of the leaders
before many of whom were anti-Zionist. They were basically crying that the
whole Jewish world was falling apart and was being destroyed.
There is a Jewish prayer or rather a curse
called the Birchat Haminim and it says that slanderers and sectarians should
have no hope and they should be cut off in an instant. Now, you look at the
mess that the State of Israel is in and you tell me what’s going on.
The students at Yeshivat D’var Yerushalayim slandered me calling me a drug
addict and I retaliated by calling them a bunch of parasites.
Anyone care to comment on all of this?

Henry was right after all :
A US media monitoring organization focusing on Israel and the Middle East has accused The Economist magazine of endorsing automaker Henry Ford's anti-Semitism.
The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) said that in the July 19 edition of the London-based magazine, finance correspondent John Prideaux approvingly quoted Ford in blaming the Jews for the Great Depression in a book review about President Franklin D. Roosevelt's depression era economic revitalization plan.
CAMERA said that in the review of the book The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression, author Amity Shlaes charges that Roosevelt's New Deal only made things worse.
However, the Boston-based organization added, "The Economist approvingly quotes Henry Ford to point the finger at another villain - the Jews."
The section in question in the book review read: "Ms. Shlaes tends to look at the depression in terms of the conflict between business (good) and politics (bad). At the time, though, Roosevelt's view that the 'lack of honor of men in high financial places' was at the root of the trouble seemed like a statement of the obvious, rather than a political pose. Even Henry Ford had been uttering warnings that 'the Jews of Wall Street,' as he so nicely called them, had stored up trouble in the 1920s. The depression appeared to prove him right."
In response, a CAMERA spokesman said: "The Economist's reference to Henry Ford blaming Jews for the depression jumps off the page when you first read it. The passage can be seen as endorsing the car maker's anti-Semitic views which is not, obviously, what Amity Shlaes intended."
Speaking to The Jerusalem Post,

Imagine you are on a plane to Europe. You notice that the passenger next to you
is read ing a book in a foreign language, and the author's name catches your
eye: Adolf Hitler. The book is "Mein Kampf." Do you assume he is (a)
an academic; (b) a Nazi; (c) an Islamist? Leave aside (c) for the moment, and
consider (a) and (b). There is no German edition of "Mein Kampf" in
print because ever since 1945 the Bavarian state government, which inherited
the copyright from Hitler's publisher, has refused to allow the book to be
republished. Some countries also try to control the trade in second-hand
copies, millions of which were printed during the Third Reich. Not only in
Germany but also in Israel, Switzerland, and Norway it is illegal to buy
"Mein Kampf." In Austria ownership is an offense, while in the
Netherlands it is the vendor who is penalized. Now a leading German academic
historian has stirred up controversy by calling for Germany's de facto ban to
be lifted before the copyright expires in 2015. Professor Horst Möller,
director of the Munich Institute for Contemporary History, argues that
censorship merely adds to the book's notoriety: "As long as ‘Mein Kampf'
is not available in a carefully annotated edition, there will be no end to the
often simple-minded speculation about what is actually in the book," Mr. Möller
said last week. "An academic edition could break the peculiar myth which
surrounds ‘Mein Kampf.'" To any liberal, this sounds reasonable enough. In
the London Times, the columnist and author, Ben Macintyre, applauded Mr.
Möller's proposal: "‘Mein Kampf' is a historical relic that has retained
its power to horrify," he wrote "It should be preserved and exhibited
in the same way as Auschwitz, the killing fields of Cambodia and Holocaust
museums everywhere." Recalling with pride that the Times had serialized
extracts from "Mein Kampf" in 1933, Mr. Macintyre declared that the
paper had been right to do so: "Even so, the Editor of the day George
[sic] Dawson was plainly holding his nose as he placed ‘Mein Kampf' in the
public domain."
Let me declare an interest. Mr. Macintyre's father, the historian Angus Macintyre, taught me at Magdalen College, Oxford, 30 years ago. Angus would have been amused that nobody at the Times thought to correct the reference to Geoffrey Dawson, one of the most celebrated of its past editors, but evidently now forgotten there. Ben Macintyre is a friend of mine. But his assumption that "Mein Kampf" is a "historical relic" and his recommendation that "everyone should read it" are not only wrong, but also dangerous.
He acknowledges the likely objections of Holocaust survivors, but only to dismiss them: "Whatever sympathy one may feel for those who suffered, no book should be banned, however pernicious." It is not a matter of sympathy for Hitler's victims — it is a matter of lending respectability to contemporary anti-Semitism, which is undergoing an alarming revival in Europe and beyond. It isn't only the stupid and the ignorant who were influenced by "Mein Kampf," intellectuals read it too. They didn't take Hitler seriously, with disastrous consequences. Later in the 1930s, it was the same editor, Geoffrey Dawson, who turned the Times into the leading mouthpiece of appeasement. People sometimes say: "If only British leaders had read ‘Mein Kampf' — they would have known what to expect from Hitler." Well, many of them did read it — and they didn't know what to expect.
I do not necessarily object to Mr. Möller's idea of a scholarly, annotated German edition of "Mein Kampf." After 2015 the book will be in the public domain anyway, so it would be best if it came with as many health warnings as possible. But such academic editions are prohibitively expensive. Mr. Macintyre's contention that "Mein Kampf" should be "cheap" so that "everyone" could read it strikes me as culpably naïve. Historians do not need cheap editions; propagandists do.
President Ahmadinejad's threat of a second, nuclear Holocaust and the reaction — or lack of it — in Europe should be enough to tell us that anti-Semitism is still dangerous. That brings us back to our passenger reading "Mein Kampf." He is most likely to be neither (a) an academic nor (b) a Nazi, but (c) an Islamist. And the foreign language is most likely to be not German, but Arabic.
Nazi literature does not just circulate in the hermetic, deranged mental universe of Islamism — it is ubiquitous. That is partly because the movement has been influenced by Nazi ideas from its inception, but also because it has a similar demonology to Hitler's: purging of the West in general and Jews in particular.
When the journalist Richard Littlejohn was making a TV documentary on anti-Semitism in Britain, he was shocked to discover how easy it was to buy a copy of "Mein Kampf" in ordinary Muslim-owned stores. He found one on sale a few yards away from the house near Oxford Street where the Blair family will move when they vacate Chequers, the official prime ministerial country residence.
German denazification took a long time — and it included eradicating the influence of "Mein Kampf." What an irony if the same book were to become the vehicle for the renazification of Europe — only this time not under the swastika, but the crescent.
---------------------------------Remember the mammoths, say the clean-cut organizers at the youth camp's mass wedding. "They became extinct because they did not have enough sex. That must not happen to Russia".
Obediently, couples move to a special section of dormitory tents arranged in a
heart-shape and called the Love Oasis, where they can start procreating for the
motherland.
With its relentlessly upbeat tone, bizarre ideas and tight control, it sounds
like a weird indoctrination session for a phoney religious cult.
But this organisation - known as "Nashi", meaning "Ours" - is youth movement run by Vladimir Putin's Kremlin that has become a central part of Russian political life.
Scroll down for more
Sinister: Millions of young Russians at a youth camp discerningly similar to
the Hitler Youth
Nashi's annual camp, 200 miles outside Moscow, is attended by 10,000 uniformed
youngsters and involves two weeks of lectures and physical fitness.
Attendance is monitored via compulsory electronic badges and anyone who misses three events is expelled. So are drinkers; alcohol is banned. But sex is encouraged, and condoms are nowhere on sale.
Bizarrely, young women are encouraged to hand in thongs and other skimpy
underwear - supposedly a cause of sterility - and given more wholesome and
substantial undergarments.
Twenty-five couples marry at the start of the camp's first week and ten more at the start of the second. These mass weddings, the ultimate expression of devotion to the motherland, are legal and conducted by a civil official.
Attempting to raise Russia's dismally low birthrate even by eccentric-seeming means might be understandable. Certainly, the country's demographic outlook is dire. The hard-drinking, hardsmoking and disease-ridden population is set to plunge by a million a year in the next decade.
But the real aim of the youth camp - and the 100,000-strong movement behind it - is not to improve Russia's demographic profile, but to attack democracy.
Under Mr Putin, Russia is sliding into fascism, with state control of the economy, media, politics and society becoming increasingly heavy-handed. And Nashi, along with other similar youth movements, such as 'Young Guard', and 'Young Russia', is in the forefront of the charge.
At the start, it was all too easy to mock. I attended an early event run by its predecessor, 'Walking together', in the heart of Moscow in 2000. A motley collection of youngsters were collecting 'unpatriotic' works of fiction for destruction.
It was sinister in theory, recalling the Nazis' book-burning in the 1930s, but it was laughable in practice. There was no sign of ordinary members of the public handing in books (the copies piled on the pavement had been brought by the organizers).
Once the television cameras had left, the event organizers admitted that they were not really volunteers, but being paid by "sponsors". The idea that Russia's anarchic, apathetic youth would ever be attracted into a disciplined mass movement in support of their president - what critics called a "Putinjugend", recalling the "Hitlerjugend" (German for "Hitler Youth") - seemed fanciful.
How wrong we were. Life for young people in Russia without connections is a mixture of inadequate and corrupt education, and a choice of boring dead-end jobs. Like the Hitler Youth and the Soviet Union's Young Pioneers, Nashi and its allied movements offer not just excitement, friendship and a sense of purpose - but a leg up in life, too.
Nashi's senior officials - known, in an eerie echo of the Soviet era, as "Commissars" - get free places at top universities. Thereafter, they can expect good jobs in politics or business - which in Russia nowadays, under the Kremlin's crony capitalism, are increasingly the same thing.
Nashi and similar outfits are the Kremlin's first line of defence against its greatest fear: real democracy. Like the sheep chanting "Four legs good, two legs bad" in George Orwell's Animal Farm, they can intimidate through noise and numbers.
Nashi supporters drown out protests by Russia's feeble and divided democratic opposition and use violence to drive them off the streets.
The group's leaders insist that the only connection to officialdom is loyalty to the president. If so, they seem remarkably well-informed.
In July 2006, the British ambassador, Sir Anthony Brenton, infuriated the Kremlin by attending an opposition meeting. For months afterwards, he was noisily harassed by groups of Nashi supporters demanding that he "apologise". With uncanny accuracy, the hooligans knew his movements in advance - a sign of official tip-offs.
Even when Nashi flagrantly breaks the law, the authorities do not intervene. After Estonia enraged Russia by moving a Sovietera war memorial in April, Nashi led the blockade of Estonia's Moscow embassy. It daubed the building with graffiti, blasted it with Stalinera military music, ripped down the Estonian flag and attacked a visiting ambassador's car. The Moscow police, who normally stamp ruthlessly on public protest, stood by.
Nashi fits perfectly into the Kremlin's newly-minted ideology of "Sovereign democracy". This is not the mind-numbing jargon of Marxism-Leninism, but a lightweight collection of cliches and slogans promoting Russia's supposed unique political and spiritual culture.
It is strongly reminiscent of the Tsarist era slogan: "Autocracy, Orthodoxy and Nationality".
The similarities to both the Soviet and Tsarist eras are striking. Communist ideologues once spent much of their time explaining why their party deserved its monopoly of power, even though the promised utopia seemed indefinitely delayed.
Today, the Kremlin's ideology chief Vladislav Surkov is trying to explain why questioning the crooks and spooks who run Russia is not just mistaken, but treacherous.
Yet, by comparison with other outfits, Nashi looks relatively civilised. Its racism and prejudice is implied, but not trumpeted. Other pro-Kremlin youth groups are hounding gays and foreigners off the streets of Moscow. Mestnye [The Locals] recently distributed leaflets urging Muscovites to boycott non-Russian cab drivers.
These showed a young blonde Russian refusing a ride from a swarthy, beetle-browed taxi driver, under the slogan: "We're not going the same way."
Such unofficial xenophobia matches the official stance. On April 1, a decree explicitly backed by Mr Putin banned foreigners from trading in Russia's retail markets. By some estimates, 12m people are working illegally in Russia.
Those who hoped that Russia's first post-totalitarian generation would be liberal, have been dissapointed. Although explicit support for extremist and racist groups is in the low single figures, support for racist sentiments is mushrooming.
Slogans such as "Russia for the Russians" now attract the support of half of the population. Echoing Kremlin propaganda, Nashi denounced Estonians as "fascist", for daring to say that they find Nazi and Soviet memorials equally repugnant. But, in truth, it is in Russia that fascism is all too evident.
The Kremlin sees no role for a democratic opposition, denouncing its leaders as stooges and traitors. Sadly, most Russians agree: a recent poll showed that a majority believed that opposition parties should not be allowed to take power.
Just as the Nazis in 1930s rewrote Germany's history, the Putin Kremlin is rewriting Russia's. It has rehaabilitated Stalin, the greatest massmurderer of the 20th century. And it is demonising Boris Yeltsin, Russia's first democratically-elected president. That he destroyed totalitarianism is ignored. Instead, he is denounced for his "weak" pro-Western policies.
While distorting its own history, the Kremlin denounces other countries. Mr Putin was quick to blame Britain's "colonial mentality" for our government's request that Russia try to find a legal means of extraditing Andrei Lugovoi, the prime suspect in the murder of Alexander Litvinenko.
Yet the truth is that Britain, like most Western countries, flagellates itself for the crimes of the past. Indeed, British schoolchildren rarely learn anything positive about their country's empire. And, if Mr Putin has his way, Russian pupils will learn nothing bad about the Soviet empire, which was far bloodier, more brutal - and more recent.
A new guide for history teachers - explicitly endorsed by Mr Putin - brushes off Stalin's crimes. It describes him as "the most successful leader of the USSR". But it skates over the colossal human cost - 25m people were shot and starved in the cause of communism.
"Political repression was used to mobilise not only rank-and-file citizens but also the ruling elite," it says. In other words, Stalin wanted to make the country strong, so he may have been a bit harsh at times. At any time since the collapse of Soviet totalitarianism in the late 1980s, that would have seemed a nauseating whitewash. Now, it is treated as bald historical fact.
If Stalin made mistakes, so what? Lots of people make mistakes.
"Problematic pages in our history exist," Mr Putin said last week. But: "we have less than some countries. And ours are not as terrible as those of some others." He compared the Great Terror of 1937, when 700,000 people were murdered in a purge by Stalin's secret police, to the atom bomb on Hiroshima.
The comparison is preposterous. A strong argument can be made that by ending the war quickly, the atom bombs saved countless lives.
Franklin D Roosevelt and Harry Truman-may have failed to realise that nuclear weapons would one day endanger humanity's survival. But, unlike Stalin, they were not genocidal maniacs.
As the new cold war deepens, Mr Putin echoes, consciously or unconsciously, the favourite weapon of Soviet propagandists in the last one.
Asked about Afghanistan, they would cite Vietnam. Castigated for the plight of Soviet Jews, they would complain with treacly sincerity about discrimination against American blacks. Every blot on the Soviet record was matched by something, real or imagined, that the West had done.
But the contrasts even then were absurd. When the American administration blundered into Vietnam, hundreds of thousands of people protested in the heart of Washington. When eight extraordinarily brave Soviet dissidents tried to demonstrate in Red Square against the invasion of Czechoslovakia, in 1968, they were instantly arrested and spent many years in labour camps.
For the east European countries with first-hand experience of Stalinist terror, the Kremlin's rewriting of history could hardly be more scary. Not only does Russia see no reason to apologise for their suffering under Kremlin rule, it now sees the collapse of communism not as a time of liberation, but as an era of pitiable weakness.
Russia barely commemorates even the damage it did to itself, let alone the appalling suffering inflicted on other people. Nashi is both a symptom of the way Russia is going - and a means of entrenching the drift to fascism.
Terrifyingly, the revived Soviet view of history is now widely held in Russia. A poll this week of Russian teenagers showed that a majority believe that Stalin did more good things than bad.
If tens of thousands of uniformed German youngsters were marching across Germany in support of an authoritarian Fuhrer, baiting foreigners and praising Hitler, alarm bells would be jangling all across Europe. So why aren't they ringing about Nashi?

For the better part of 2,000 years, Christians of all sects have tried in vain
to convert the Jews. "We only want to save you," they said, as they
burnt us at the stake during the Inquisition.
It all comes from the same problem. Christians cannot stand that we do not
accept Jesus as divine. After all, he was one of us. If we do not accept him,
that is a terrible rebuke, or so they think.
Anti-Semitism is not a Jewish problem. It is the problem of Christians. It is
only a problem for Jews when Christian frustration leads to violence against
us.
Get over it! We don't go around trying to convert you. Get a life!
Michael Marcotte a real piece of work for
PBS
A group
that monitors hate groups says it sees links between the San Diego Minutemen
and white supremacists. The local Minutemen reject any suggestion they are
racist. KPBS News Director Michael Marcotte has the story.
In one of his frequent on-line posts to the San Diego Minutemen, Ray
Carney revealed he worked as a computer expert (CARNEY WAS MY COMPUTER TECH.
ALONG WITH MANY OTHER MAC USERS) for the White Aryan Resistance for eleven
years. The White Aryan Resistance is a neo-Nazi (ISNT COOL HOW THEY DECIDE YOUR
LABEL) group that makes elaborate use of the internet. It's based in Temecula
and headed by self-avowed white supremacist (I HAVE NEVER IN 35 YEARS EVER
REFERED TO MYSELF AS A WHITE SUPREMICIST) Tom Metzger.
Carney denies any racist leanings. He says he needed the money and
Metzger paid him three times the going rate for his computer skills. (WELL
THATS A BIT OF AN EXAGERATION) Still Carney is now in the sites of the Southern
Poverty Law Center. That center originally formed during the civil rights era
to track Ku Klux Klan activity. The center's Mark Potok says the San Diego
Minutemen are attracting hate mongers.
Potok: Some of its kind of inner circle members have real connections to
White Supremacy. Ray Carney, in addition, there's another member Steve Shine
who has posted a series of pictures in his profile on MySpace. What they show
is a white pride tattoo across his belly, various white supremacist symbols
--including a photo of Hitler and a Confederate flag.
The head of the San Diego Minutemen is Jeff Schwilk. In an email
response to KPBS News, Schwilk asserts his group is not racist, and in fact
boasts a multi-ethnic membership. And Schwilk says Shine and Carney are not --
and never have been -- members of the Minutemen.
But that hasn't stopped Carney from frequently contributing to the San
Diego Minutemen website. In one recent post, he directed Minutemen how to use
chemical agents at illegal immigrant protests. He also offered to train
Minutemen to use tasers, batons or firearms for self protection.
Shine too has participated in Minutemen activities. A video on-line shows
him waving a flag during the group's day labor protest on an Oceanside street
corner. And he was interviewed by KPBS while restraining a pit-bull at a north
county canyon where local minutemen rallied to evict migrants from outdoor
camps.
KPBS News could not reach Shine for comment. But Carney tells KPBS he is
not a member of the Minutemen. And he's quick to blast the Southern
Poverty Law Center... and its director
Carney: The more he puts out those intelligence reports and makes
everybody look under the rocks for racists or skinheads or anti-illegal
immigration people, the more money he takes into is group.
The Southern Poverty Law Center estimates the number of hate groups in
the United States has grown 40-percent this decade. Growth largely
fueled by the immigration debate.
The Center published an intelligence paper on the San Diego Minutemen
this summer -- describing its various activities in detail and concluding that
the San Diego Minutemen is one of the most aggressive nativist groups in the
nation. The report points out that even the national Minutemen groups keep an
arms-length distance from the San Diego splinter.
For its part, the San Diego Minutemen maintain their membership is
law-abiding, active, concerned citizens who want to secure the border and
oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants.

It all started after a blog post at a web site called BlackLooks. Check it out:
The new Resident Evil video game depicts a white man in what appears to be Africa killing Black people. The Black people are supposed to be zombies and the white man’s job is to destroy them and save humanity. “I have a job to do and I’m gonna see it through.”
This is problematic on so many levels, including the depiction of Black people as inhuman savages, the killing of Black people by a white man in military clothing, and the fact that this video game is marketed to children and young adults. Start them young… fearing, hating, and destroying Black people. lolFilm industry journal Variety reported that the legal drama Tulia will tell the tale of a small Texan town where a tenth of the black population was targeted by drugs charges in 1999 and later mostly pardoned - a case that drew accusations of racism.
Berry and Thornton will be directed in the film by John Singleton, who directed the 1991 cult classic Boyz n the Hood, a drama about the violent lives of black youngsters in a Los Angeles ghetto.
The 40-year-old actress won the Oscar for best actress in 2002 for her performance in Monster's Ball, - a film in which she played a black woman who had an affair with a white racist portrayed by Thornton.
