Anarchists protest bomb charge May 15, 2002 By GREG HARDESTY The Orange County Register About 40 supporters of a man charged with having a bomb in his car converged on the Orange County Courthouse on Tuesday morning to protest his incarceration. Dressed in signature black clothes, members of the Southern California Anarchist Alliance stood outside the Santa Ana building's three entrances, attracting about two dozen sheriff's deputies wearing helmets and holding batons, shields and other anti-riot gear. The two-hour protest, was in support of Matthew Gordon Lamont, 20, of Long Beach Lamont was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning, but the hearing was delayed until May 21. He faces up to four years in prison if convicted of possessing a bomb.
