Blanton Jr. could go to court in January to seek a new trial for killing four black girls at Sixteenth Street Baptist Church.A hearing for a new trial is set for Dec. 14, but defense lawyer John Robbins said transcripts for all of Blanton's court appearances are not ready, so that hearing should be delayed again. The former Klansman has appealed his May conviction for the 1963 killings.

A TV movie misrepresents the role Bobby Frank Cherry's son played in his father's murder indictment in the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing, according to a former prosecutor in the case. Doug Jones, a former U.S. attorney who worked in the bombing case, said Saturday he previewed a tape of FX network's Sins of the Father, which is set to air tonight. Jones said the movie is historically inaccurate and gives an impression that Tom Cherry knows and saw more than he actually did. Tom Cherry, the oldest of seven, testified before a state grand jury in May 2000 before his father's indictment. "Certainly, the movie leaves you with the impression that but for Cherry's son there would be no charges, and that's completely inaccurate," said Jones, who is now a consultant on the case. Tom Cherry, 49, said by telephone Saturday night the movie is accurate, but admitted some things had to be condensed to fit 1½ hours for television. "Some of it is dramatized, but it tells a pretty accurate story of what went on through our life," he said. "I think it turned out well." Bobby Frank Cherry, 71, faces murder charges in the Sept. 15, 1963, blast that killed four girls. The former Klansman has avoided a trial since last spring because of questions about his mental competence. Last week, Circuit Judge James Garrett said Cherry has been restored to competence and is fit for trial. A trial date is to be set later this month. Several recent movie reviews and even FX television promotions suggest the younger Cherry holds some secret to who bombed the church. In the movie, Tom Cherry's character never fingers his father as a bomber. "There is nothing in the movie that directly ties Mr. Cherry to anything, but it certainly leaves" that impression, Jones said. When asked Saturday if his testimony led to his father's indictment, Tom Cherry said he didn't know. He also declined to discuss his grand jury testimony. "If it did, so be it," he said of the testimony. "The only thing that my testimony done is jerk (an) alibi out." The elder Cherry has often told authorities that he was either at home nursing his sick wife or watching television the night before the blast. His son remembers differently. "I don't recall now my mother being sick at that time," Tom Cherry said. Bobby Frank Cherry was to be tried with convicted bomber Thomas E. Blanton Jr., 63, last spring. Blanton lawyer John Robbins, who also hasn't seen the movie, said he did not think Tom Cherry's grand jury testimony resulted in an indictment against the older Cherry. "I really don't know all the evidence they have against Mr. Cherry, but I don't think the government's case boils down to one witness," Tom Cherry or anyone else, Robbins said. Jones declined to discuss witnesses. Mickey Johnson, one of Cherry's defense lawyers, last week said he had not seen the movie but said he doubts the movie will reveal any evidence about the case. "It's just about a bad childhood he had. It looks to me the victimization of poor Frank."

There is a total misconception of the Birmingham bombing of 1963 and the use of very clever Hollywood script writing to hide or distort the real truth. The real truth is simple. The White race of the South was under invasion by those that ultimately desire the death of the white race. They decided to start on the South thinking Whites in the North wouldn't lift a finger to stop it. they were right. Only a small number in the North lifted a finger in defense of the white south. Negro churches along with some white churches and synagogues in the South were being used as staging and propaganda centers for miscegenation and the destruction of the Race culture as has now come to its predicted sorrowful end in the South. Like in any war such centers are fair targets and in many cases there is collateral damage. Many years later it was south African whites that laid down and also lost their country. Those that resisted this invasion in the south were few and far between. Those that should have led did not. The upper middle class and wealthy businessmen and politicians were frantically trying to figure a way out that would insure they were able to hold on to personal power and wealth. Every Governor in the South during that period eventually admitted they were traitors to the White cause. The worst of the lot was George Corely Wallace. At the same time these parlor racists did a lot of talking and like the right wing still does today they created groups like the White Citizens council or some other debating society. Taking it to the enemy was risky Parlor games of eat meet and retreat talk were their stock and trade. Most of the Klan itself set on their hands, drank beer and gave fiery speeches. This invasion was much like with the old union league invasion that was sent into the South after the civil war to rape and pillage using newly freed blacks and led by Aryan or Jew carpetbaggers. Jews in the new 1960's invasion were the most numerous per capita in supporting the Iron Heels genocide policies against the White race in the South. Jews never lose a chance to boast about it today. Many politicians today brag about marching with the son of a bitch King. Later one real man by the name of James Earl Ray took care of business quite well. So well that even today it is believed it was part of a giant conspiracy. Believe me the more people involved the less likely any goal will be achieved. A few white working people in the South operated as lone wolves or in small groups and carried out a spirited defense of White culture. Most were imprisoned or killed. Most belonged to no membership groups at all. These were the people that the faggot J. Edgar Hoover called every offensive name in the book. They fought your war decades ago before most of you were born. Now we have come full circle and all the predictions of the White racists in the South have come true many times over. So true that even many Jews and white liberals have come full circle and are speaking out to suppress the black beast. Talk about Karma. Terrible Tommy's secret weapon
SWAN SONGS: Most people know karaoke is painful. But did you know it was fatal? In this special holiday edition of Travelers' Tales, we'll look at stories about music in Asia.

The bad news is that there have been scores of deaths at sing-it-yourself bars. Sometimes fights are triggered by audience comments about amateurish singing (what do they expect at a karaoke venue? Pavarotti?). Or disputes break out when one singer hogs the microphone for too long--and five seconds is too long if the present writer is performing.

Then there are the technical glitches. There have been at least four deaths in Vietnam alone in which a Karaoke performer puts an ill-wired mike to his lips, leans against the speaker and goes out with a bang. 

Karaoke deaths are common in the Philippines. In one unfortunate incident in a town north of Manila, listeners criticized a singer for being off-key. Bad idea. The singer and his friends turned out to be agents from the Philippine National Bureau of Investigation. They drew their guns. The hecklers turned out to be police officers. Several people died in the shoot-out. And it was all over a few duff notes.

The deadly underside of Karaoke is worrying, considering its prevalence in Asia. One Singapore hotel installed Karaoke equipment in each guest room. The Royal Dokmaideng Hotel in Vientiane, Laos, boasts in brochures about its 16 karaoke fun rooms: "Yell your joyfulness. Seek the spiritual communication."

Sometimes karaoke kills by sheer excitement. The present writer watched a Hong Kong politician sing Unchained Melody, better known in Asia as the theme from the movie Ghost, in a large ballroom. We held our breath as he strained for the high note close to the end of the song: "Are you still mine? I NEEEEEEEEEED your love." He finished singing. We applauded. He dropped dead. Or to put it another way, he yelled his joyfulness and found spiritual communication.

BEWARE PRIVACY IS NO MORE
-- Amid the continuing debate over military tribunals for suspected terrorists, another potential challenge to our civil liberties is going almost unnoticed.  Details of this challenge may soon be revealed in a Virginia courtroom, where retired Air Force Master Sergeant Brian Regan will be tried on espionage charges. Regan, you may recall, was arrested late last summer, accused of providing classified spy satellite images, documents on satellite capabilities, and pages from a top secret intelligence manual to a client identified as "Country A" (believed to be Libya). There are also indications that Regan planned to offer classified information to other hostile regimes, listed as "Country C" and "Country D" in the indictment.

Officially, federal prosecutors won't reveal what tipped them to Regan's activities. Court records indicate that Regan, who worked for a defense contractor at the super-secret National Reconnaissance Office, was under surveillance for several months prior to his arrest. According to the indictment, Regan collected classified information at work and used public library computers to send the data (via encrypted e-mail) to potential foreign clients. After one such transmission, Regan apparently forgot to turn off a computer at a library in suburban Virginia. When FBI agents checked the machine, they discovered Regan had visited a web site containing the embassy address (in Switzerland) for one of the unnamed countries.  As a former intelligence officer, I found this "official" explanation puzzling - at best. First, public libraries have hundreds of patrons that use their computers, making it almost impossible to closely monitor their use. It seems unlikely that an alert librarian somehow observed Regan's activities and notified authorities of his apparent interest in Libya. 
Secondly, it is not a crime (as far as I know) for Americans to visit web sites listing addresses for foreign embassies, even those representing nations hostile to the United States. During my career as a military intelligence analyst, I routinely scanned official web sites for Iraq, Iran and North Korea, looking for bits of useful information. To my knowledge, this work never attracted the interest of the FBI nor any other counter-intelligence organization. 

In fact, the "library computer" story may be a ruse, designed to cover other intelligence sources and methods used to identify Regan. There is a strong belief in intelligence circles that Regan may have been the first spy nabbed by "Echelon," the highly classified information gathering and dissemination network operated by the U.S. National Security Agency and its global partners.  As outlined in a recent European Parliament report, Echelon has the ability to intercept, record and analyze massive amounts of electronic data, including virtually all e-mail transmitted around the world. Given these capabilities, it seems likely that Regan's encrypted messages to Libya and other hostile countries might have attracted the attention of an allied intelligence service, which, in turn, tipped off U.S. counter-intelligence officers. To date, U.S. intelligence officials have refused to discuss Echelon, or even acknowledge its existence. Privately, however, military and civilian intelligence representatives confirm that the system does, indeed, exist. One former military signals intelligence officer told me that recent European reports on Echelon are essentially accurate - the operation is alive, well and gathers tremendous amounts of data on a daily basis. 
 A retired NSA officer went even further. He estimates that Echelon represents "at least 15 to 20 percent" of the agency's annual intelligence "haul," providing much of the sensitive economic, political and military data collected by NSA. According to this individual, e-mail traffic represents an area of "significant" growth for Echelon, reflecting the global migration to web-based communications. However, e-mail also presents a particular challenge for the agency, since one NSA department handles actual messages, while another is assigned to sift through e-mail attachments. Tying attached files to a particular message is sometimes difficult, he confided.  If Regan's alleged activities were identified through Echelon - a very real possibility - it raises very grave legal and ethical questions. Did a foreign intelligence agency - or agencies - become de facto tools of American law enforcement, conducting surveillance on a U.S. citizen, beyond the purview of  our courts and the Constitution? While U.S. intelligence agencies are barred from conducting domestic surveillance, Echelon could easily circumvent that prohibition, transforming allied intelligence organizations into surrogates for their American counterparts, gathering information on U.S. residents with virtually no oversight, and no regard for our basic civil liberties.

In the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack, the FBI has stumbled on the largest espionage ring ever discovered inside the United States. The U.S. Justice Department is now holding nearly 100 Israeli citizens with direct ties to foreign military, criminal and intelligence services.  The spy ring reportedly includes employees of two Israeli-owned companies that currently perform almost all the official wiretaps for U.S. local, state and federal law enforcement.

The U.S. law enforcement wiretaps, authorized by the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), appear to have been breached by organized crime units working inside Israel and the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad.

Both Attorney General John Ashcroft and FBI Director Robert Mueller were warned on Oct. 18 in a hand-delivered letter from local, state and federal law enforcement officials. The warning stated, "Law enforcement's current electronic surveillance capabilities are less effective today than they were at the time CALEA was enacted."

The spy ring enabled criminals to use reverse wiretaps against U.S. intelligence and law enforcement operations. The illegal monitoring may have resulted in the deaths of several informants and reportedly spoiled planned anti-drug raids on crime syndicates.

Global Spy and Crime Network

The penetration of the U.S. wiretap system has led to a giant spy hunt across the globe by American intelligence agencies. U.S. intelligence officials now suspect the spy ring shared and sold information to other nations.

"Why do you think Putin so nonchalantly and with such  great fanfare announced the shutdown of the Lourdes listening post in Cuba?" noted Douglas Brown, president of Multilingual Data Solutions Inc. And program director at the Nathan Hale Institute.

"Besides the PR benefit right before his visit here, the Russians don't need it anymore. They've scraped together a cheaper, more effective monitoring system. Is the Israeli company an element of that system? I don't know," stated Brown.

"With all the whining and crying about Echelon and Carnivore, critics, domestic and foreign, of U.S. electronic eavesdropping vastly overestimate our abilities to process and disseminate the stuff," noted Brown.

"The critics also underestimated the incompetence and total ineptness of the people running our intelligence and law enforcement services during the Clinton-Gore years. One guy uses his home computer for storing top secret documents; another high-tech guru guy can't figure out how to save and retrieve his e-mail, and the guy in charge of everything is having phone sex over an open line with one of his employees," said Brown.

Grand Jury Indicts JDL Members in Plan to Blow Up Mosque, Congressman's Office Thursday, January 10, 2002

LOS ANGELES 
The chairman and a member of the Jewish Defense League were indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday on charges of conspiring to bomb the office of an Arab-American congressman and a prominent Los Angeles mosque. The 24-page indictment alleges that JDL chairman Irv Rubin, 56, and Earl Krugel, 59, recruited another person to actually plant the bombs and that person went to the FBI. Targets of the planned bombings were King Fahd Mosque in Culver City, Calif., and the field office of Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif. The charges carry maximum penalties of two life terms in prison for each defendant, plus a possible additional 75 years for Rubin and an additional 95 years for Krugel. At first, Rubin planned to bomb the offices of the Muslim Public Affairs Council in Los Angeles, the indictment said, but he later changed his mind. Acting as a "confidential informant," the unidentified recruit, reported to be a longtime JDL member, met with Krugel a dozen times from Oct. 17 to Dec. 11, 2001, and went shopping with Krugel at a hardware store for bomb components which were stored in Krugel's garage, the indictment said. Rubin, who attended some of the meetings, was described as approving the plans and giving directions to the confidential informant. Authorities have said that the informant was equipped with tape recording equipment and taped his meetings with the pair. "On or about Oct. 19, 2001, defendants Irving David Rubin and Earl Leslie Krugel met with the confidential informant and discussed plans to carry out bombings of buildings associated with Arab religious or political institutions," the indictment said. The indictment said that by Dec. 11, when the targets were specified, Rubin had instructed the informant to purchase a certain brand of gunpowder and it was stored in Krugel's garage along with bomb components including fuse material, pipes and endcaps. The nine-count indictment charged the men with conspiracy, conspiracy to use a destructive device, attempted arson, attempted arson at a U.S. government facility, possession of a destructive device in furtherance of a crime of violence, solicitation to commit a crime of violence, possession of a machine gun and possession of an unregistered firearm. Arraignment was set for Jan.

Thought that I would drop you a line and say hello. I saw you out at the swap meet last Sunday buying some rims. I wanted to share with you a story of when you came down to Voice and Video in late '92 / early '93. When you came through the door, all of the staff bolted to hide behind the walls, for some reason! Of course I recognized you and was happy to help you with your repair order--it was my job too. As soon as you left, of course the staff all emerged. 'Why did you hide?' I asked my co-worker. No reply except to say that all proceeds from your transaction were to be always donated to ADL. Around Springtime I observed an editing bay with its windows covered with cloth drape material. Some guy from All World Video was editing porn flicks inside. The head technician came out one day shaking his head and confided that some of the people participating looked to be under age! Soon after I spoke with my 'supervisor' and explained that I found this unacceptable and they (management) should check into it. (hindsight==duh!) They knew and were so greedy for cash that they allowed this to go on--even after notice that it could be illegal. Anyhow, I called some law enforcement child welfare hotline and soon found another job at Dimension Cable. I doubt it was ever looked into. There (at Dimension)I was in charge of airing your program on Leased Access. Boy did that create a stir every time the tape was delivered! So I wanted to let you know how two-faced those Jewish owners at Voice and Video were to disrespect one of their own customers and then turn around and advocate editing seemingly underage porn in their facility. I thought that you might not have known the behind-the-scenes activities of what was going on.

I am not an advocate of your cause, but thought that since I had seen you at the swap meet that I'd drop a line and vent a bit! I really didn't pay any mind to Jewish people before I worked at Voice and Video, but after working for those 3 owners, I came to really disrespect them.

Dear Terrible Tommy:
Years ago, Robert Miles wrote an essay about the futility of marches in which a few White Nationalists were surrounded by hordes of screaming sub-humans. It was his opinion that all this did was display the weakness of our side by their need for police protection.

Since most people like being "with a winner" he believed it was counter productive to display this kind of weakness.

Irrespective of the fact that it takes real balls to take a confrontational public stand, what are your thoughts on Miles' idea. Please make a comment in your next update.

As you may know I have stuck with the ideas Robert Miles expressed for a long time. It seems to work best if we offer more than one solution. 

The lone wolf or small cell for real action in a variety of ways. On the other hand there are people who need to vent now and then and as long as they understand the pitfalls and do not whine if they take a beating or get arrested we might as well recognize them but at the same time support with reservation.  There are flaws on both sides of the argument. On one side many people who say the are lone wolf or covert simply use that as an excuse to do nothing. On the other hand there are those that only live for the dangerous and fleeting excitement of the streets. On both sides there are sincere activists. One point that needs to be driven home is that the rabble on the other side in these confrontations are powerless also and mean nothing in the striving for power. The system simply round up those on both sides without skipping a beat. If every ARA, JDL, and any other of these so called opponents were all eliminated it would change nothing as far as the Iron Heel is concerned.

It is also true that not to insist on a platform to speak freely could be taken as even worse weakness. Unless the struggle decides to shift to an all out Joseph Paul Franklin mode.   I think it would be counter productive at this time to put all our eggs in one basket. Its free enterprise
politics at its best.
