Islamic suicide bombers yell "Allahu Akbar!" before slaughtering unbelievers. Are you an unbeliever? Why would Dan Rather attempt dissociating the religion of Islam from the barbarism it foments, then present it as some innocuous, good-for-America religious trend that, as Rather ignorantly explained, "teaches the values many American's hold dear" [Dan Rather's March 11, 1994, CBS News report: "Nation of Islam in America"]? 

He might have given a more accurate report on Islam if he and his producers had studied it more thoroughly and discovered that violence surrounding the practice of Islam, here and abroad, directly springs from Islam's source and heart - the Koran.  

Because the Koran is considered by Islamic fundamentalists to be the infallible word of Allah, it is taken literally. And because the Koran explicitly directs the use of violence against unbelievers, it inspires a deadly and uncivil religion - albeit one cloaked with good standards for "clean" living. 

The Koran is the driving force behind Muslims' attempts at destroying Israel and the Jewish people. The spread of Islam in the United States, especially among blacks, is just one more contribution that weak-brained liberals have made to America's rapidly deteriorating social infrastructure. 

Read the Koran; read "Repentance" 9:73 -- "Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them." "Unbelievers" refers to all who don't embrace Allah's religion. 

Read "The Cow" 2:190 -- "Kill them wherever you find them . . . Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme." This is one of the Koran verses used by devout fundamentalists to justify the use of terrorist acts in the name of Allah, and for scheming the eventual overthrow (probably by nuclear terror) of Western nations. 

Read "The Imrams" 3:161 -- "Allah has surely been gracious to the faithful in sending them an apostle of their own [my emphasis] to declare to them His revelations." On the face of it, this verse exposes the underlying political motivation for inventing an Arab religion. This verse is a rebuke of all other religions and the clue to uncovering the real purpose  for Islam: to heal Arab nations' regional conflicts by promoting a religion that's particularly structured for the Arab character. Read "Prohibition" 66:9 -- "Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal sternly with them. Hell shall be their home, evil their fate." 

Is this a religion the West ought to respect or fear? Isn't this a religion that preaches the killing of unbelievers? Are you an unbeliever? Aren't all people living outside the covenant of Islam unbelievers? Shouldn't Western democracies stop the spread of Islamic fundamentalism? Examine Arab's meaning of "taqiyah," which allows Muslims to lie to unbelievers to gain an advantage. 

Read the Koran. Its historic purpose was for uniting disparate Arab tribes under the banner of Islam, for racial and political purposes, and as answer to a spreading Jewish /Christian influence. Islam's growth in Western democracies portends a very violent future, especially for Jews. 

Pity America as liberals serve up more of that poisoned pie, DIVERSITY, to embrace Islam - and while America mourns the dead from Islam's bombing of the World Trade Center. Where is the civility and goodness in Allah's promise of Heaven for assassins and virgins for martyrs? Why would a civil people abide that sadistic religion growing in their midst? Such an accommodation portends a violent future for America; especially for Arabs' most hated enemy - the Jews.

Imposes Indefinite Detention: Permits authorities to indefinitely detain non-citizens, without meaningful judicial review. 

Reduces Privacy in Student Records: Allows law enforcement to access, use and disseminate highly personal information about American and foreign students. 

Expands Wiretap Authority: Minimizes judicial supervision of law enforcement wiretap authority in several ways, including: permitting law enforcement to obtain the equivalent of "blank" warrants in the physical world; authorizing intelligence wiretaps that need not specify the phone to be tapped or require that only the target's conversations be eavesdropped upon; and allowing the FBI to use its "intelligence" authority to circumvent the judicial review of the probable cause requirement of the Fourth Amendment.

Allies' World War II shame 
Sunday Herald, London, 14th October 2001

AS THE world recoils at the horrific possibility of al-Qaeda terrorists waging anthrax war against United States citizens, the Sunday Herald can reveal that Britain manufactured five million anthrax cattle cakes during the Second World War and planned to drop them on Germany in 1944.   The aim of Operation Vegetarian was to wipe out the German beef and dairy herds and then see the bacterium  spread to the human population. With people then having no access to antibiotics, this would have caused many  thousands, perhaps even millions, of German men, women and children to suffer awful deaths. The anthrax cakes were tested on Gruinard Island, off Wester Ross, which was finally cleared of contamination in 1990. Operation Vegetarian was planned for the summer of 1944 but, in the event, it was abandoned as the Allies' Normandy invasion progressed successfully. 

Details of the wartime secret operation are contained in a series of War Office files (WO 188) at the Public Record  Office in Kew. Some of the files are still classified. The man whose task was to carry out Operation Vegetarian  was Dr Paul Fildes, director of the biology department at Porton Down near Salisbury in Wiltshire. Fildes had  previously been in charge of the Medical Research Council's bacterial chemistry unit at Middlesex Hospital. 

In early 1942, Fildes began searching Britain for suppliers and manufacturers of linseed-oil cattle cake to make five million small cakes. Large quantities of the bacillus itself had to be produced, while special containers to carry the cattle cakes had to be designed and made. Some RA  bombers had to be modified to deliver the anthrax-infected payload. And all of it had to be done as cheaply as possible. 
 
The raw material for the cake was provided by the Olympia Oil & Cake Company in Blackburn. The contract to cut the cattle cake into small pieces went to J & E Atkinson of Bond Street in London, perfumers and toilet-soap manufacturers and suppliers to the royal family. 

The Atkinsons calculated that they could produce 180,000 to 250,000 cakes, each 2.5cm in diameter and 10 grammes in weight, in a 44-hour week. The price was to be between 12 and 15 shillings per thousand. The firm pledged to deliver 5,273,400 cakes by April 1943. By the middle of July 1942, the Atkinsons informed Fildes that 'we are now producing at the rate of 40,000 per day'. 

The anthrax was manufactured by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries at its veterinary laboratory in Surrey. An Oxford academic named Dr E Schuster was set to work devising the pump to inject the bacilli into the cattle cakes. The Porton Down scientists settled on cube-shaped cardboard containers, 18cm square, to carry the infected foodstuff. 

Each held 400 cakes. They would be fitted with a steel handle 'of a size which enables the operator to grasp the handle without difficulty when wearing thick leather or moleskin gloves . . . ' Thirteen women were then recruited from various soap-making firms, sworn to secrecy and give  the job of injecting the cattle cakes with anthrax spores. At the same time, Fildes and his tea  were working on the best way to deliver the diseased cattle feed to the German herds. 

The RAF's research unit came up with a simple solution, easily made wooden trays that fitted on to aircraft flare chutes. Their Bomber Command Lancasters, Halifaxes and Stirlings were chosen for the job. 

By the beginning of 1944, Operation Vegetarian was ready to go. It was crucial to mount any attack in the summer months. 

Fildes said: 'The cattle must be caught in the open grazing fields when lush spring grass is on the wane.' 'Trials have shown that these tablets . . . are found and consumed by the cattle in a very short time. 'Cattle are concentrated in the northern half of Oldenburg and northwest Hanover. Aircraft flying to and from Berlin will fly over 60 miles of grazing land.' 

Fildes calculated that, at an average ground speed of 300mph, the distance would be covered in 18 minutes. 'If one box of tablets is dispersed every two minutes, then each aircraft will be required to carry and disperse nine, or say 10, boxes.' 

One Lancaster bomber returning from a raid on Berlin would be able to scatter 4000 anthrax-infected cakes over a 60-mile swathe in less than 20 minutes. A dozen aircraft would have been enough to litter most of the north German countryside with anthrax spores. Operation Vegetarian was a seriously deadly project. 

But, by the time Fildes's operation was ready to go in the summer of 1944, the Normandy invasion had taken place and Allied armies were crashing through northern France and up through Italy. The war against Nazi Germany was instead being won by conventional means. At the end of 1945, five million anthrax-infected cattle cakes were incinerated in one of Porton Down's furnaces.

Germany, still suffering from post traumatic Holocaust syndrome is offering to provide the funds and construction equipment to build the first ever Holocaust museum (with the help and guidance of Israel of course) in a Muslim country! Eli Weasel and Simon Weasel-thal have offered to serve respectively as curator and CFO until a suitable Afghan citizen can be trained to run it. England would like to help, but they are broke and will have to return the two submarines and the two planes they rented from the United States which enabled them to participate in the "Enduring Hypocrisy" operation. 

The United States will once again shoulder much of the burden for rebuilding Afghanistan. Colin Powell and the State Department have partnered with WalMart to found the first ever discount shopping chain in a Muslim country. The Afghan chain will be called TaliMart and will offer everything from 12 gauge shotguns to Windex (unfortunately automatic weapons and shoulder-launched surface to air missiles will not be sold for the time being). Colin Powell and George W. will also introduce the concept of diversity to the Afghan people. As soon as the "war" is over, construction teams will arrive to erect prefab ghettoes which will arrive containing graffiti ridden buildings, crack vials and trash on the street in order to save the groids from having to do that themselves. Each major Afghan city will receive an initial quota of 100,000 groids to get the multiculturalism aspect started. President Bush will introduce forced busing so that groids living in the inner city of Kabul can attend a school in Kandahar, even if native Afghans don't want it. Aside from the fact that interracial dating will become mandatory, the other aspects of this rebuilding program have not yet been finalized, although pro football and basketball teams will be introduced once stadium have been built. 

I am going to close on a sad note, one time highly regarded and publicized con-servative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is stone cold deaf. The man who once bragged that he possessed "talent on loan from God" and that he was the "moral floss that prevents truth decay" is no longer able to hear the adoring chant of "MEGA-DITTOES RUSH". I have to admit that I once listened to the man, but became permanently turned off when he started talking about the environment and how there was so much open space that everyone and anyone should be allowed into dis' country. PRISON COMPANIES GET HOT

October 4, 2001 -- America's new wall of homeland security is creating a big demand for cells to hold suspects and illegal aliens who might be rounded up. Stocks of private companies that build and operate prisons for governments have zoomed as high as 300 percent in anticipation of internment camps and new prisons. 

"Unfortunately, these are becoming good investments," said James MacDonald, a  prisons-security analyst at First Analysts Securities. 

One company, Wackenhut Corp., may be able to put its expertise to work here. "Wackenhut has had some success running the immigrant camps in Austraila by converting military bases," said MacDonald. 

"It could be done here, too, but turning our old military bases into internment camps would be a highly charged issue for us," said MacDonald. "It would be too drastic." He said the half-dozen publicly traded prison companies are in a buzz about expanding prison projects being issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. 

The Bureau has just let out requests for bids for two prisons to hold criminal aliens in Georgia.  "It's going to be the biggest award made this year by the Bureau, and it's generated a lot of excitement," said MacDonald. He said the Bureau is also seeking bids early next year for three more prisons in the Southwest deserts that can hold more than 1,500 detainees. 

Governments pay private prisons about $31,000 a year to handle each jailbird - about half what a government agency spends to run a prison on its own. Private prison investors are also jubilant about an expected U.S. Supreme Court ruling that would bar any inmate from suing a privately run prison for civil rights violations. 

"The Bureau is expanding rapidly to free up extra space in its system," said MacDonald. 

In line to get a big piece of that business is the nation's largest private prison company, Corrections Corp. of America. Its stock has soared 308 percent this year, and closed yesterday at $13.98, up 30 cents in active trading.  The company was on the brink of bankruptcy just months ago, but a new management team and the sudden new business in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terror attacks has changed its prospects. 

"There's clearly a better outlook for the company than it had a few months ago," said MacDonald.   The company runs about 65 prisons around the U.S. and Puerto Rico and handles about 61,000 prisoners, including 500 in Leavenworth. Analysts say many security companies got a huge and immediate profits boost from supplying guards and new security in the aftermath of the terror attack. 

"They got immediate returns, but it's going to take a while for any new prisons to make their way into the market," said MacDonald. 

Also helping the profits outlook for private prisons is an expected rise in the crime rate due to the recession. 

"Crime always goes up in a bad economy," said MacDonald. "Where's there are good times and jobs are plentiful, people who get out of prison can usually find work and don't have to go back to their old ways. When the economy fails, so do the former inmates." 

Federal prisons are the fastest growing in the U.S., rising as much as 10 percent a year. State prison populations have been in a decline for a few years and barely will make a 1 percent rise this year, most of it expected in the fourth quarter, said MacDonald.

Who knows who else got these American-made weapons of mass destruction either from Admiral Crowe or Saddam. But that was then and this is now. Admiral Crowe is retired. Admiral Crowe is quite wealthy, far beyond what one might expect on even an Admiral's salary. In fact, Admiral Crowe sits on the Board of Directors and owns 13% of BioPort Corporation. What is the BioPort Corporation, I hear you ask? Well, it's the only corporation in the United States with a license to make Anthrax Vaccine. Except that BioPOrt doesn't actually make the vaccine. BioPOrt simply
bought the lab that does make the vaccine, Michigan Biologic Products Institute, from the State of Michigan in 1998, oddly enough at the same time John J. Maresca, Vice President of International Relations, UNOCAL Corporation, was telling congress that access to the oil reserves under the Caspian Sea required a new government in Afghanistan. Along with the actual Anthrax Vaccine, BioPort acquired Michigan Biologic Products Institute's sole and exclusive customer for the vaccine, the U.S. Department of defense. And here is the kicker. Since acquiring Michigan Biologic Products Institute, BioPort has not delivered a drop of the stuff! Only 4% of the vaccine contracted for has been delivered. FDA audits have uncovered suspicious record keeping and contamination problems, causing the FDA to ban delivery of the product. Despite this ban, the U.S. Government has continued to front BioPort millions of dollars to keep the operation going. And, given the "State of Emergency", it is likely that FDA concerns for the product will soon be set aside and the vaccine delivered, not to the citizens whose taxes paid for it all, but to the military and to the government. So, good old Admiral Crowe and his fellow investors in BioPort are set to make a bundle off of the Anthrax scare. Especially when market demand pushes the price of the product high up above the contracted for $3.50 an ounce. And who are those fellow investors? Well, another part of BioPort is owned by the Carlyse Group. That's George H. W. Bush's current occupation. Yet another portion is rumored to be owned by the Bin Laden family, although this has not yet been confirmed! That's right. Just as the Bin Laden family made a fortune with the contract to rebuild the Khobar Towers supposedly blown up by Osama, the Bin Ladens will again make a fortune from their part ownership of the only company able to make an Anthrax Vaccine in the United States, because Osama might have some of that Anthrax that the United States sold to Saddam. In fact, the shortage created by the FDA bans will make all the players instant billionaires as market forces drive the price of the vaccine up to thousands of dollars per ounce. (The same amount of Anthrax treatment Cipro that sells for $20 in India now costs $690 in the US). A very cozy arrangement. The Bushes and Bin Ladens (and the occasional complicit Admiral) are all making money off of the fear and death of Americans and Afghanis. It's called "profiteering". It's called conspiracy with a foreign power against the interests of the people of the nation. This sort of thing is what got Charles the First into trouble!

14 Syrians Arrive for U.S. Flight School 

Here's one for Ripley's Believe It or Not: Fourteen men from Syria -- a state sponsor of terrorism -- entered the United States this week on student visas to attend a flight school in Fort Worth, Texas, an Immigration and Naturalization Service official admitted today. The men were "checked out" by the State Department before they obtained the M-1 visas for vocational education, and none of them was on "a watch list," said Tomas Zuniga, an INS spokesman in Dallas. "Everything was on the up-and-up." A State Department official said there was no prohibition against issuing visas to flight-school students from the Middle East as long as they meet all visa requirements, United Press International reported today. The FBI was notified about the Syrians because the men arrived in two groups, which concerned INS officials at the Dallas airport. "Seven came on Sunday and seven came in on Monday, so we thought it was a little suspicious, and we notified the FBI and they are aware of these 14," he said. "They did not show up on anybody's want list, so they were appropriately admitted ."To quote a certain peace nik folk song: "When will they ever learn?"

You need not worry about being a Palestinian, Syrian, Egyptian, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Jap­­or a Jew. How about settling for just being an Aryan?  In the garden of Nature, of which we are a part, there are many varieties. All are subject to the same laws of Nature, which are the laws of Life for us as established by a Higher Power. If we violate these laws­­indeed, if we seek to overturn them­­we have no right to expect special favors or dispensation from some other god. I know this runs counter to Judeo-Christian doctrine, but that's the way it is. 

The truth is that Western man has violated the most basic laws of Life; and in rejecting the on  hand which could have saved him over a half century ago, he sealed the fate of his civilization. For all that this civilization* once represented as a fountainhead of high culture, today as a dynamic force it is spent and represents nothing more than decadence, disease and­­Death. Do you require proof?  

The question is not whether Western civilization survives. That issue was already decided i  1945, when the United States and Great Britain, along with the Soviet Union, joined to destroy whatever hope there might have been for the vital continuation of Western culture. The only question for us now is whether a race capable of high culture survives. 

The Titanic has hit an iceberg, and it is going down. Trying to rearrange the deck chairs and going into  denial cannot alter this grim fact. The only question is whether the sinking ship will pull our race down with it as it disappears beneath the waves. As long as it exists, our race will always be capable of forming  high culture, incorporating everything valuable from earlier cultures of European man. But not if it permits itself to be sucked down with this sinking ship. 

Yes, we know that Orientals can be ruthless. Genghis Khan proved that. But China and Japan were never a threat until an avaricious West, seeking profit and souls, decided to disturb the benign repose of these exotic lands. If a  Frankenstein monster has been created, whom do we have to blame? 

And should we blame any of these peoples if they act in their own self-interest and in accordance with  the eternal laws of Nature? The real question is: Why aren't so-called Aryans doing the same?   And here we come to my whole point: If Aryan man were fit and in shape, all of our problems with those "others" would become matters of secondary importance, because then we would be in a position to deal with them. 

And this includes the Jewish question. The problem of the Jews is a problem only to the extent that we  have permitted them to infiltrate, infect and dominate our economic, political, intellectual and spiritual life­­ which all began when blinding halogen lights came on in the head of the Pharisee and elder of Zion, Saul/Paul, and in an amazing flash he realized the incredible possibilities for subverting and conquering the goyish world with the doctrines of a small Middle Eastern sect. 

This is the perspective from which we must see the Jews. We can't really blame the Jews. They are only doing what comes naturally as a peculiarly evolved form of parasite life. But that does not mean that we have to tolerate them as a nuisance at our expense, any more than we have to put up with any other kind of pest. If we fail to respond, as any normal, healthy creature on this Earth would in such circumstances, opting instead to defer to them and­­ blasphemy of blasphemies!­­ worship them, then we have only ourselves to blame for our predicament. 

So the first order of business is to straighten ourselves out, and to rid ourselves of alien thinking and behaving and to start acting once more in accordance with the laws of Nature. (By "alien" we mean, in the first instance,  Jewish­­although in our "diverse" society we can also find the secondary effects of negroidal and mestizo influences.) Once we have gotten our own house in order, everything else will fall into place. So that must be our focus. 

If we point to these "others" and to various outward manifestations of Western decadence, it is only to expose  these as particular external threats to be confronted at this time. 

Once we have dealt with these threats, we can move on to other threats as they emerge in the future. Failing here to get our priorities straight, however, we might as well forget about the rest; because then it all becomes rather academic­­ and we can write off any sort of future worth mentioning.

Contributed Commentary -- I received a copy today of JJ Goldberg's book Jewish Power. Rather than repeat all the information offered, I thought I would provide an overview and some links, and allow readers to confirm all this for themselves. 

For those who don't believe that the various Zionist and religious-Jewish organizations come together to generate policy, you have obviously not heard (as I hadn't) of the National Jewish Community Relations Advisory Council. Let me allow Mr Goldberg, who is a journalist in Israel and America, and who is editor of the Jewish community magazine Forward, to describe this group to you: 

"The council, known by the Jaw Breaking title of the National Jewish Community Relations Advisory Council, or NCRAC (pronounced "nacrac"), is nothing less than the central policy making council of the organized American Jewish community. Its membership includes a dozen of the most powerful and broadly representative groups on the national Jewish scene: the three main synagogue unions, Reform, Conservative, and Orothodox; the three main "defense agencies," Anti-Defamation League, American Jewish Committee, and American Jewish Congress; and the three largest Jewish women's groups, Hadassah, the National Council on Jewish Women, and Women's American ORT. Also included, along with a handful of other national bodies, are 117 locale community councils, representing the world of Jewish federated charities and their donors." 

Ah. And what do these groups do? Mr Goldberg tells us:


"MCRAC's policy positions are hammed out in intense, year-long negotiations among the agencies, then booted on at the council's annual assembly and published each fall in a booklet, the Joint Program Plan. ... The eighty-four page plan for 1992 included, along with ten pages on Israel and eight pages on anti-Semitism in Russia and the Arab world, no less than six pages on public- school education, six pages on abortion rights and the status of women, four pages on poverty, three pages each on immigration policy, federal courts, and universal health care, and four pages on the environment." 

So what is being said is that ALL THE JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS IN AMERICA REALLY DO MEET ONCE A YEAR AND DECIDE ON A JOINT POLITICAL PLATFORM. In my recent article for Pravda on the Jewish lobby, someone told me that the Jewish lobby in America didn't have an official position on gun control. Mr Goldberg disagrees, stating, "The 1994 plan added ten pages entitled 'Gun Control and Violence,' plus a four page section titled 'Constitutional Protections in a Pluralistic Democracy.' These protections addressed issues ranging from the death penalty and homosexual right to term limits, campaign- finance reform, and congressional redistricting." 

So American Jewry, meaning all the synagogues and all the formal Jewish power structure, actually does have a written program which it issues each year and which all organizations adhere to. So if you are wondering why, say Orthodox Jewish congregations are not active on issues like abortion and homosexuality with conservative Christian churches, it is because they have coordinated with all the other Jewish community groups in America not to be active on those issues. And if you are wondering why you see all the Jewish organizations working together on issues like undermining the Second Amendment and banning guns, it is because ALL JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COUNTRY MEET ANNUALLY TO DECIDE WHAT TO THINK ON THESE ISSUES.

Now Mr Goldberg does point out that not all Jews follow this line. "The NCRAC agenda provokes
widespread resentment among Jewish activists at the grassroots." In particular, he points to a growing racist movement among Jews that want NCRAC to denounce blacks as the course of crime in America, and wants NCRAC to recognize that "Islam [is] the enemy of Judaism". Sounds like a pleasant group of folks. 

Let's hear what one rabbi has to say about abortion in the Jewish religion in Mr Goldberg's book:   "In rabbinic canon law, .. human life does not simply begin at conception. It develops gradually, acquiring greater legal protection as the fetus gains viability. Development continues even after birth, he added paranthetically; an infant that dies before the eighth day does receive a Jewish funeral. 

"In any case, ... Judaism rules that the mother's needs automatically take precedent until the moment of birth. 'There is ... a moral and ethical basis for a woman to undergo an abortion. Do not impose the view of some on all of us.'"  Abortion is a religious freedom, because Judaism does not recognize infants under eight days of life as human beings, and does not recognize killing a seven day old infant as murder. 

Maybe I'm writing this because I just spent a few hours listening to a Muslim preacher at the local Islamic center talk about how Jews are the children of Satan who think Jesus is the illegitimate son of a whore. The local Islamic Center was holding an interfaith day of understanding, and they brought in this guy who is an ex-Catholic priest who converted to Islam, and who is now the chief Muslim in Maryland, and he started preaching hellfire and brimstone right from the Koran. Much to my amusement, many Jews who came these to be "interfaith" walked out when he started discussing what Jews think about Jesus from the Talmud. Many of the Christians seemed very uncomfortable. One politician, Maria Pina-Faustus, walked out when the Muslim preacher guy refused to denounce Osama bin Laden, and stated that "we have not  seen any evidence that he is guilty, so how can we denounce him" and told another woman "we cannot say he does not represent Islam, because we have no process by which a believer can be excommunicated, unless he publicly states he does not believe in Allah and he does not believe Mohammed was the Prophet." 

But still, it is one thing to hear about Jews from the White separatist struggle. It is quite another to hear about them from a Jewish guy. 

And BTW, according to the Rabbi, the Christian faith allows abortion too. Check Exodus 21:22 "I two men strive and one strikes a woman with a child, so that her fruit departs, and yet no harm follows, he shall surely be fined."

The Rabbi was literally escorted out of the Louisiana State Legislature when he tried to testify to that effect. 

Let's go back to the story of how the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, a group now headed by Mortimer Zuckerman, destroyed the first George Bush. This is how Goldberg tells it: 

"Shoshana Cardin was sitting in a Washington hotel room reviewing the day's lobbying when word came of Bush's remarks. A Baltimore civic leader and professional volunteer, she headed up the powerful forces that the President was complaining about. Her precise title was Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Known to its members as the Presidents Conference, the group is a loose coalition of four dozen Jewish religious associations, civil rights agencies, welfare funds, and fraternal societies. It includes most of the groups that make up the dizzying alphabet soup of American Jewish community life, ranging from household names like B'nai B'rith, Haddassh, and the United Jewish appeal to obscure factions like the Jewish Labor Committee and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs. 

"... What the President had said, as she heard it, was that when Jews advocated their beliefs as citizens, they were somehow engaging in unacceptable civic behavior. In fact, Cardin angrily decided, it was the president who's behavior was unacceptable."   Now for those who don't remember exactly what the President said, let me give some background. This Jewish lobby which claims it doesn't exist had been demanding that the US government steal ten billion dollars from the US working people and give it to Israel to settle Soviet Jews who were unhappy with Russia. Think about that -- what do I, as an American taxpayer, care about Soviet Jews going to Israel, and why should I, as an American taxpayer, have to pay for Israel's problems? When Mexicans decide to cross the Rio Grande in the middle of the night and settle in America, Israel doesn't send us money to "settle" them  in the American Southwest, so why should we have to fund the immigration of non-American citizens from a non-American country like the Soviet Union into a non-American country like Israel? Doesn't make any sense, right? 

Bush, being a white American, didn't think it made any sense either. He was tired of footing the bill, and put forward an initiative in Congress that said that Americans would pay to settle the Soviet Jews, but only if Israel both made a lasting and permanent peace deal with the Palestinians and actually implemented it. He didn't so "no, we won't support Israel" he said "we will give you $10 billion dollars one last time if you will finally stop fighting and make peace so we don't have to worry about your crap any more." The American Jewish lobby -- people like Shoshana Cardin -- were OUTRAGED at that!?!? They felt very firmly that they had a RIGHT to bribe out Congress and steal our money and take it to their country to help their people. They felt that they had a RIGHT to subvert the Constitution and impoverish working American of all races and colors. This was their RIGHT and they were going to use it. 

Imagine that arrogance. The RIGHT to steal our tax dollars, money we earn with our blood, our sweat, and our tears, and transfer it out of the country to Israel, to give it to people that not only never earned it, are not even our people. $10 billion dollars means $2,000 for every single person in Israel (Israel's population: 5 million). When is the last time our government gave every American $2000? Couldn't you use $2000. Couldn't every working person in this country who earns under $20,000 a year (or under $50,000 a year, or anything!) and still pays taxes on it do with an extra $2000 in their pocket -- to pay off their debts, buy a car, buy a house, so something good for their family and their children? But instead of giving American tax money to Americans, it was given to Israelis because pro-Israeli American Jewish organizations bribed the Congress. Don't believe they bribed the Congress? Check this out: 

Jews provide "between one fourth and one half of all Democratic campaign funds." If it wasn't for Jewish money there would be no democrat Party in California". 

And all the information I've cited above is in the first 40 pages of this 400+ page book.   I urge all of you to buy this book and read it. It is frightening. The basic idea -- that the majority of people who live in a country have a right to govern that country -- is undermined by the basic assumption of the book -- that Jews, despite being a minority who's views are not representative of the American people, have a right to use bribery and press intimidation to dictate foreign and domestic policy to America, and to make sure America adheres to their perverse interpretation of Jewish religious and cultural-political values. That is what this lobby believes, and they believe that anyone who criticizes them for using unethical methods to impose unpopular policies on this country is guilty of denying them their right to petition the government. What arrogance! 

I also just finished reading two other reports, both issues by Jewish organizations, that should be of interest to our readers. One is an American Jewish Committee report on "Russian Jewish Elites and Anti-Semitism". It explains the situation in Russia prior to the Putin takeover, and discusses how Russia's Jewish oligarchs liked to gloat by saying things like "Jewish bankers own 50 percent of the capital in Russia" and answering the question "who runs Russia" by saying "Jews". Note that the oligarches who said these things have now, in 2001, been mostly either exiled, assassinated, or arrested for their hubris.

And lastly, I refer you to a report by George Soros' Union of Jews of the Former Soviet Union. This report actually has some real anti-Semitism in it -- there have been several instances in Russia where Chechen guerrillas have kidnapped twelve and thirteen year old Jewish girls, raped them, and cut off their finger when their families couldn't ransom them. This is wrong. But most of what the report complains about are two things: 

1) People have made or published political statements that Jewish organizations don't like. 

2) People are joining political organizations that Jewish organizations don't like. 

3) People have stated as a general principlethat, as Russia is 86% ethnic Russian, it would inappropriate for Russia to have a Jewish president, or a majority-Jewish cabinet. 

The solution recommended in the report is that people who make statements that Jewish organizations don't like, or who join groups that Jewish organizations  don't like, or who believe that Russia should be ruled by Russians, should be arrested and placed in jail and not permitted to be part of the political process. Remarkably, this agenda, and the "anti-Semitic" remarks directed against them, are the EXACT SAME remarks directed against them in America. 

Russians were mad that all the television stations were owned by Jews. They didn't like Jewish banks owned half of the country's capital and venture capital. They didn't like that a large number of Yeltsin's ministers were Jewish. They felt that, as the country was 86% Russian and .5% Jewish, that Jews should not, generally, be running the country's senior ministries -- and should certainly not be running ALL of the country's senior ministries. This belief George Soros finds intolerable. In a "democracy", Jews should be able, not just theoretically, but in practice, to hold all the ruling positions in the government, despite the fact that there are no significant numbers
of Jews living in the country. 
 
Think about that, because it’s an important question -- does a country, say England, have a right to a government of Englishmen? Does a Nigerian have the same right to be the King of England as an Englishman? Should the Germans select a Chinaman as Chancellor? Did the British have the right to colonize the Sudan and rule it as a territory? Because to say that a person with allegiance to a foreign nation or foreign ethnic group has a right to rule over a group of people who are not of his ethnicity or culture is to defend the underlying ideology of colonialism. Then notice how many Jewish writers in the United States (ahem ... Jonah Goldberg) defend colonialism -- now that they are defining the terms of colonization. Then ask yourself this: 

Is it "right-wing" to be opposed to colonialism? If not, and if one really believes in the ethnic self-determination of people, than why is it that Jews have a "right", as George Soros claims, to rule Russia, but the British do not have a "right" to rule India?   These questions are important, because the essence of modern Zionism is that it is an imperialist and capitalist ideology, perpetrated by a handful rich Jews, that is in opposition to the right of self-determination of all of the other world's people, because it claims as a "right" the right to rule any of the world's peoples that it chooses. 

This is frightening stuff. It is frightening that anyone could believe it, and frightening that we, right now, are living through the results of it. Just as World War I and World War II led to thousands of colonial subjects fighting the European and Asian war on behalf of their colonial masters, America has been drawn in to the Zionist conflict on behalf of a group of people who feel that they have established themselves as our neo-colonial masters.

There is something seriously wrong in the world, and it is time that people rose up and fixed it. FBI CONSIDERS TORTURE AS SUSPECTS STAY SILENT [The Times, UK, Monday 22 Oct - Washington]: AMERICAN investigators are considering resorting to harsher interrogation techniques, including torture, after facing a wall of silence from jailed suspected members of Osama bin Ladenâ’s al-Qaeda network, according to a report yesterday. 

More than 150 people who were picked up after September 11 remain in custody, with four men the focus of particularly intense scrutiny. But investigators have found the usual methods have failed to persuade any of them to talk. 

Options being weighed include truth drugs, pressure tactics and extraditing the suspects to countries whose security services are more used to employing a heavy-handed approach during interrogations. We’re into this thing for 35 days and nobody is talking. Frustration has begun to appear, a senior FBI official told The Washington Post. 

Under US law, evidence extracted using physical pressure or torture is inadmissible in court and interrogators could also face criminal charges for employing such methods. However, investigators suggested that the time might soon come when a truth serum, such as sodium  pentothal, would be deemed an acceptable tool for interrogators.

Tallahasee, Florida -- Jews seek to blacklist Florida journalist for criticizing Israel    

Occupied Jerusalem: 20 October, 2001 (IAP News) American sources in Florida have accused Jewish circles of intimidating and bullying journalists daring to criticize Israeli occupation and apartheid in Palestine. 

The accusations came after influential Jews in Florida reportedly bullied the Tallahassee Democrat, a local newspaper, to refuse to publish articles by a Florida journalist who reportedly recently wrote a article criticizing the "Israeli-American marriage." 

The journalist, Jim Moore, said in an email message that he was recently told by the newspaper's officials not to submit any more articles. 

In his article, Moore quoted a report that appeared in several Middle-East related web-sites a few weeks ago, alleging that Ariel Sharon, the extremist Israeli prime minister, told his foreign minister Shimon Peres during a heated ministerial council meeting not to worry about American pressure on Israel because "the Jewish people control America." 

Israeli officials refused to confirm or deny the report, but several Israeli journalists and columnists confirmed that Sharon had bouts of anger during a recent Knesset meeting and that he said "things that shouldn't be said." 

Most American and, to a lesser extent, British journalists feel intimidated by Jewish pressure groups and generally avoid criticizing Israel's rampage of murder and terror against Palestinians lest they lose their jobs.

OK, here's the skinny: Rock City News is a 15,000-circulation tribute-bands-and-metal magazine based in Hollywood and published every other Thursday by a guy named Ruben MacBlue. That name might be familiar -- Ruben and New Times had a run-in a couple months ago 'cause we (and by "we" I mean Jim Freek) referred to him in a column as a "pony-tailed poseur" and brought up a years-old disagreement between MacBlue and New Times photog Gary Leonard. MacBlue, naturally, did the only thing any self-respecting 'Merican would do: He threatened to sue us. He also wrote us a letter, and we ran it -- gave the guy his side of the story, and as far as we know, it's all good between us. 

So why bring him up now? Because. Because maybe you don't read Rock City News. And this week of all weeks, you ought to read it. Well, not all of it. That's a lot to ask of anyone. But there's a lot to be learned from the front page of the October 4 issue. Right there, sandwiched between breathy reviews of Hed (PE)'s "exciting and passionate" Whisky show and Exploiting Eve's Roxy gig ("It's called "star power' and Janelle has what it takes!"), is a story written by a guy named Abdullah Mohammad Sindi headlined "How the Jewish-Zionist Grip on American Film and Television Promotes Bias Against Arabs and Muslims." Yeah, I did a double take too. The gist is this: Arabs get stereotyped in movies and on television. (Well, yeah.) And the reason that happens, apparently, is because the Jews control the media. ("Ever since Zionist Jews forcibly  established the State of Israel on the land of Arab Palestine in 1948...Hollywood and the rest of American mass media have carried out a campaign to disparage Arabs and tarnish their image.")  Headline kinda says it all, don't it? "If you read the story, everything is explained in the story," MacBlue tells Earwax. "That most of the movie studios in Hollywood were started by the Jewish people, and the Jewish people are at war with the Ay-rabs in the Middle East." (Yes, he pronounces it "Ay-rabs.")
MacBlue is quick to add that the article -- which he found while Web-surfing -- features "a pageful of footnotes at the bottom that proves that it's true," though he didn't have space to print those notes. Well hell, it almost sounds kind of reasonable, doesn't it? I mean, all right, maybe the Jews do control the media, and maybe they are working to run the Ay-rabs down and push their Zionist agenda. Or maybe -- and I'm probably being paranoid because I'm Jewish -- MacBlue found an anti-Semitic article on the Web and blithely printed it on the front page of his rawk 'n' roll newspaper. Whaddya think, Ruben? Do you think this story's anti-Semitic? 

"No I don't, because I think that the difference between anti-Semitic and anti-government is a big difference."

OK, but this article is about Jews, Ruben, not about the government. (Long pause.) " 

 Well, it's about how, uh, how the uh..." How the Jewish-Zionist Grip on American Film and Television Promotes Bias Against Arabs and Muslims? 

"Well, that's not anti-Semitic. Anti-Semitic is racism against a certain race. And this is not that. This is merely a statement of facts." 

Well OK, that's one way of describing the piece. David Lehrer, regional director of the Anti-Defamation League, has another way of putting it: "It's vulgar, inflammatory anti-Semitism. It's stereotyping, it's bigoted, it's inflammatory; it takes one fact and extrapolates to a group from one particular assertion. "It is standard, classic, vulgar, pernicious, insidious anti-Semitism." And the person who runs it? "Condones it." This seems like a good time to point out that Ruben MacBlue does not hate Jews. "I'm not anti-Semitic," he says. "I have a lot of Jewish friends. I have nothing against the Jewish race whatsoever."

No, what he is a dupe -- a guy who, in the name of publishing "another point of view," put a 4,600-word anti-Semitic screed on the front page of his newspaper. (But dammit man! Look at all the footnotes I didn't have space to print!) And where'd he get that screed? At the Web site for the Journal of Historical Review, a bi-monthly published by the Institute of Historical Review, a Costa Mesa-based Holocaust-denial group. Apparently, when Ruben lifted Sindi's piece for publication, he didn't notice the other articles published by that same journal -- articles with titles like "Nuremberg: King of Kangaroo Courts" and "An Orthodox Historian Finally Acknowledges: There Is No Evidence for Nazi Gas Chambers." And now, MacBlue says he's being persecuted for daring to dissent -- in fact, he says he's getting "terrorist threats." Terrorist threats, Ruben? What kind of terrorist threats? "We get voice messages on our machine saying that they're going to put us out of business," he says, "that we are anti-Semitic, that we are supporting a racist point of view and that they are going to call all our advertisers -- and they have. We've had a couple people call all the advertisers in our magazine telling them to boycott our magazine because we're anti-Semitic." Wait -- that's terrorism? You're comparing that to what happened last month in New York City? "I wouldn't consider that on any scale with New York, no." But it's still terrorism? "OK, maybe not terrorism, maybe a diluted form of terrorism." Actually, Ruben, it sounds a lot like the voice message you left on our machine three months ago. I believe your words were, "We are going after Jim Freek, we are going to run him out of town, we are going to file a lawsuit against your company, and this is only the beginning." Is that pretty much the same kind of call you've been getting, Ruben? And after another very long pause, this: "Sorta." 

(MacBlue later called back to point out that in his voice mail, he left his name. So, you know --  totally different thing.) Unfortunately, it appears MacBlue gets a lot of his information from Web sites like the IHR's. He also reads the L.A. Times, he insists: "I read the L.A. Times every day, and I have read every single issue since June. And I have read every single Middle East story in the L.A. Times since June, and I have read and re-read and re-re-re-re-re-read every single issue of the L.A. Times." Since June, no less. And though he believes the Times "puts a pro-Israel slant on all their Middle East stories," Ruben's not quite ready to say that it's because of any Zionist conspiracy. "Well," he admits, "I don't even know exactly what Zionist entails, you know?" Wait -- you ran a story referring in the headline to the "Jewish-Zionist Grip" on the media -- and you don't even know the meaning of the word? "I have to look that up further," he says, "so I'm not going to comment on that." Yeah. Go ahead, feel sorry for the guy -- I do. But dumb and dangerous is still dangerous.

US strips Jewish army major of security clearance  By Arieh O'Sullivan  The US Army has revoked the security clearance of a Jewish reserve major, forcing him to give up command of an intelligence unit, The Jerusalem Post has learned. The officer claims the action was for no other reason other than his close ties and affiliation to Israel. He said this reflected an inherent anti-Semitism in the US intelligence community.  

 Maj. Shawn Pine, commander of the 300th Military Intelligence Company (Linguist) of Austin, Texas, holds dual US-Israeli citizenship and is also an IDF veteran of the Golani Brigade as well as the elite US Army Rangers. 

Pine, a specialist in counterintelligence, said he was given top-secret clearance after going through a detailed background investigation and polygraph in 1991. Born in the United States, Pine immigrated to Israel with his family at the age of 17 in the late 1970s. He was conscripted into the IDF and served three years in the Golani Brigade. But after his discharge, he returned to America for university studies. He chose a military career and served nine years as an officer in active duty in the US Army. 

"It is not like my service and affiliation with Israel was kept a secret. I have always been very forthcoming in disclosing all of my interactions with Israel," Pine said.   "As with many Americans, the events of September 11th reinvigorated my sense of patriotism," Pine said. "But rather than try to utilize my experience and education, the US intelligence community is mired in a paranoid abyss in which it perceives every Jew to be Jonathan Pollard."

The magazine was DISCOVER, October 1998. 

The entire magazine was devoted to the scientific study of money including a historical, and anthropological view. The particular article I mentioned earlier is entitled, Filthy Lucre. (pg 78)   Apparently the Japanese, according to this article anyway, are well aware of the fact that currency is an effective vector for bacteria as one can go to what is referred to as a Clean ATM, and have ones Yen pressed for 1/10th of a second at 392 degrees. (pg. 78) Apparently HITACHI manufactures this clean ATM, and it is rather popular in Japan, according to Terry Kubo, a Hitachi spokesperson, because Japanese are extremely clean individuals.

This particular article cites many different studies conducted scientifically to assess the amount of bacteria, and its prevalence on currency. Mr. Reichert, the results are scary.   On page 78, Discover documents a study that they did on two $20 bills, one $1 bill, and a quarter. All were wiped across a petrie dish containing an agar base, and all produced positive results within 24  hours. The following  types of bacteria were identified in the DISCOVER study. Staphylococci, micrococci, diptheroids, and propriobacteria. 

The article then cites a study conducted in 1972 by the Journal of the American Medical Association, in 1972. (Month, issue etc.. unspecified) This study cultured 200 bills, and coins and found disturbingly Staphylococcus Aureus, a pathogenic bacteria on 13% of coins, and 42% of bills tested. Also noted was some E-Coli. In 1997, another study was conducted by another journal, Infections in Medicine. This study concluded that 3% of coins, and 11% of the bills tested were positive for bacteria. 

In 1998, another study was conducted by the University of California at San Francisco. 113 examples of Real Life, cash were cultured . The study states that most of the bills grew harmless bacteria,l but 18% of coins, and 7% of bills manifested pathogenic bacteria, including E-Coli, and Staph Aureus. Shirley Lowe, a microbiologist credited with conducting the study on behalf of the University stated that “half the moneyâ€�, she obtained from a doughnut shop grew Staphylococcus Aureus. (Unfortunately it was not specified, but implied that all the bills gre  some bacteria, just not pathogenic types)  Lowe states, Anything that can get on hands can get on money.

I think the gist of the article, Filthy Lucre is that money, especially currency with its 75% cotton, 25% linen mix is a more than effective vector for bacteria. Mentioned in the article was the fact that bacteria can’t live  on the dry acidic surface of money forever, as it requires a moist warm environment to grow, albeit, that is not the case for Anthrax. - my point. 

The article Filthy Lucre goes on to mention that a study conducted at the Houston Advanced Research Center in Texas found that 70-80% of all currency had trace amounts of cocaine hydrochloride on them. In older bills that had been in circulation for sometime, 90% had cocaine traces. (pg. 82) 

The Journal of Forensic Sciences conducted a study in May 1998, that concluded that more than 93% of all bills tested had trace amounts of cocaine hydrochloride present. 

In 1997 Tom Jourdan, chief of the materials and devices unit at the FBI lab in Washington D.C. found that 90% of his bills tested positive for cocaine. (There goes the theory of ignorance) this is where it gets real interesting. 

Tom Jourdan states that it is his belief that, mechanical currency counters are homogenizing money. According to Jourdan, one contaminated bill brushed through the counting machine at the bank can contaminate the entire stack. (pg 84) 

The last paragraph in the article Filthy Lucre states exactly, So money isn’t exactly squeaky clean. But it isn’t exactly going to do us in either. If there’s a lesson here, It’s that money reflects whatever activity, and mischief, that human hands get up to-and the activity and occasional mischief of all the microscopic organisms along for the ride on our skin. (pg 84) 

That paragraph may be more prophetic than can be imagined. The article clearly indicates that bacteria can travel on money, and at least a single bill contaminated with cocaine can contaminate the entire stack in a bank  counting machine. The FBI is aware of the fact that bank counting machines contribute to the contamination of most of our currency here in the US with cocaine. Can we conclude that they know about the possibilities associated with bacterium? I think so. 

I am still looking into comparisons of size at it relates to cocaine hydrochloride particulate and anthrax spores. Currently it is my guess, and only a guess that there isn’t a significant difference, but I will let you know as soon as I find out.

Ali Mohamed lived a double life that seemed more fiction than fact. He served in the heart of the U.S. military at Fort Bragg and in the inner circle of Osama bin Laden's Islamic fundamentalist  terrorists' network. Long before he was arrested in connection with the 1998 car-bombing attacks on the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, there were questions about Ali Mohamed, a retired U.S. Army sergeant. He had puzzled fellow soldiers with his haughty attitude toward America and avowed Islamic fundamentalist beliefs. Now, as the United States wages war on terrorism, the case of Mohamed shows what the CIA and FBI are up against: terrorist operatives who weave themselves into the fabric of America. After al-Qaeda's car-bombings of the embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, it became clear where Mohamed's allegiance lay. Investigators linked Mohamed to the attacks, which killed 224 people and injured more than 4,500. He was arrested 34 days later and has since pleaded guilty and described his central role in the attack. Although law enforcement and intelligence agencies collected information on Mohamed, they assembled the pieces of the puzzle too late - after the embassies had been bombed. "He was an active source for the FBI, a double agent," said Larry Johnson, a former CIA agent and director of counter terrorism at the State Department during the elder Bush's administration. The FBI "did a lousy job of managing him," Johnson said. "He was holding out on them. He had critical information years ago and didn't give it up. "The FBI declined to be interviewed for this article. So just who is this educated soldier, fluent in at least four languages, who trained at Fort Bragg and taught Green Berets about the Middle East? And how did he move back and forth between an outwardly normal immigrant's existence and the hidden world of al-Qaeda?Mohamed's relationship with the FBI and intelligence services remains wrapped in secrecy. His plea agreement is sealed, as are many of the court documents and much of the testimony. Mohamed was expected to testify - but did not - at the trial at which the four others were convicted. Mohamed and his lawyer have declined all interview requests. But a picture emerges from court documents, interviews, trial transcripts and published accounts.X...X...X Born in Alexandria in 1952, Mohamed joined the Egyptian army in 1971. With a bachelor's in psychology and two years of training at Egypt's military academy, he rose to major in the Egyptian special forces.  

Sometime in the early 1980s, after Egyptian President Anwar Sadat made peace with Israel in the Camp David accords, Mohamed joined the fundamentalist group Egyptian Islamic Jihad.About this time, the Egyptian army sent Mohamed to Fort Bragg for special forces training - common for officers from countries the United States regards as friendly. Training beside U.S. Green Berets, he learned how to command elite soldiers on difficult missions such as special reconnaissance, unconventional warfare and counterinsurgency operations. After four months, he received a diploma with a green beret on it. Returning home, he served in the Egyptian army for three more years. In 1984, he left to work as a security expert for Egypt Air - and started to make contact with the CIA. "This individual approached the CIA to offer information," a U.S. official told The News & Observer, speaking on condition that no further identification be provided. "Some time later, we found out he was talking to known terrorists and had identified himself as a CIA agent. We felt him to be untrustworthy, and we put him on the State Department watch list." The CIA also warned other U.S. government agencies about Mohamed and urged them to detain him if possible, the official said. The next year, 1985, Mohamed managed to get a visa to enter the United States. One year later, he enlisted as a regular soldier in the U.S. Army at the age of 34. He was assigned to the U.S. Special Operations Command in Fort Bragg. Fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, French and English, Mohamed brought extensive knowledge of the Arab world. Though officially a supply sergeant, he spent much of his time teaching soldiers about the Mideast. Robert Anderson, a retired lieutenant colonel, remembers him vividly. Anderson said Mohamed made no secret of his religious views. "He had identified himself as a fundamentalist, but after I interviewed him I identified him as a fanatic," said Anderson, who lives in Fayetteville, N.C. Mohamed's beliefs were not just talk. In 1988, he told Anderson and others that he was using his leave to join the war in Afghanistan against Soviet occupation. The United States was then secretly supporting the Afghan rebels and supplying them with weapons; but it was highly irregular, if not illegal, for an active-duty U.S.  soldier to fight in a foreign war. If the Soviets captured him and learned his identity, it would embarrass the United States and further aggravate international tensions. Anderson said he submitted an intelligence report to his superiors two weeks before Mohamed departed, but it was ignored. Mohamed returned about a month later, Anderson said. He had clearly lost weight, suggesting that the trip had been strenuous. "He comes back and brings me a belt from a Russian special forces soldier that he said he  killed," Anderson said. Anderson wrote up a second report and again heard no response. X...X...X Near the end of his tour at Fort Bragg, Mohamed apparently got busier in his work with terrorist groups. Documents from court cases show that he traveled on weekends to New Jersey, where he trained other Islamic fundamentalists in surveillance, weapons and explosives. He continued this training after he was honorably discharged in 1989 with commendations in his file, including one for "patriotism, valor, fidelity and professional excellence. "Mohamed spent the next five years in the Army Reserves. For nine years after he left active duty, until his arrest in 1998, Mohamed shuttled between California, Afghanistan, Kenya, Somalia and at least a dozen other countries, court records show. It was through his contacts with the Egyptian Islamic Jihad that he met bin Laden, but the date is not clear. It may have been in 1991, when Mohamed again went to Afghanistan to fight. That year, Mohamed helped move bin Laden from Afghanistan to Sudan. Mohamed was soon handling some of bin Laden's most sensitive security matters, details of which he made public during his guilty plea. After a failed 1994 assassination attempt on bin Laden, Mohamed trained the inner circle of bodyguards for the Saudi exile. He handled security when bin Laden moved his al-Qaeda entourage from Sudan back to Afghanistan in 1996, as well as when bin Laden met the Hezbollah chief who had directed the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut. Mohamed also gave basic explosives training for al-Qaeda soldiers in Afghanistan in 1992 and translated training manuals from English to Arabic. In 1993, he trained Somali clansmen in the months leading up to a battle that took the lives of 18 U.S. soldiers. Mohamed taught the terrorists how to create cell structures that preserved secrecy and how to move undercover in Western countries. He taught surveillance techniques: how to case targets, photograph them and write attack plans. And he played a central role in the 1998 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. In the early 1990s, he set up a cell there to support al-Qaeda's operations in Somalia. In late 1993, al-Qaeda ordered Mohamed to scour Nairobi for targets that would avenge the U.S. involvement in Somalia. Mohamed conducted surveillance of the U.S. Embassy, the U.S. Agency for International Development and two French facilities.

It wasn't until August 1998 - four years later - that Mohamed's partners parked a truck full of plastic explosives outside the embassy. The blast killed 224 people and injured more than 4,500. Within two weeks, FBI agents led a squad of 10 into Mohamed's apartment in Sacramento, Calif., where they copied computer files and photographed documents. The evidence they found of Mohamed's terrorist activities included documents from his cell in Kenya and materials on how to run terrorist cells and penetrate security cordons. Mohamed was subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury on Sept. 10, 1998. He was arrested as he left the grand jury room. At the request of the U.S. Attorney, federal judges kept the arrest secret for almost a year. Much of the case remains sealed. Mohamed would have come first to the attention of the FBI in late1990 after the murder of the Rabbi Meier Kahane, a radical Jewish leader. When authorities searched the home of El Sayyid Nosair, who was charged with Kahane's murder, they found U.S. Army training manuals, videotaped talks that Mohamed delivered at the Kennedy Special Warfare Center at Fort Bragg, an operation plan for Operation Bright Star and other materials marked "Classified" or "Top Secret. "Mohamed, who often stayed in New Jersey with Nosair, was the  source of these documents. The documents didn't surface during Nosair's 1991 trial when he was acquitted of killing Kahane, but they did in 1995 when Nosair was convicted of conspiring to blow up the World Trade Center and other New York landmarks in 1993.The FBI has acknowledged in court filings that its agents interviewed Mohamed several times after he left active duty. Defense lawyers and many other observers believe that Mohamed, who has not yet been sentenced, is now cooperating with the United States, though the government has never confirmed this. When he is sentenced, he could receive as little as 25 years under his plea agreement. Mohamed has not spoken in public since his guilty plea, but his prior statements carry warnings to the country in whose  military he served. "He knows, for example, that there are hundreds of 'sleepers' or 'submarines' in place who don't fit neatly into the terrorist profile," a 1997 FBI report said. "These individuals don't wear the traditional beards and don't pray at the mosques."

Long Before War, Green Berets Built Military Ties to Uzbekistan

In 1999, teams of Green Berets arrived at former Soviet garrisons outside the capital here. They were some of the Army's finest soldiers, they traveled in small groups and in the two years that followed they came and went every few months. The mission was straightforward: to train the army of a former foe, in part to prepare its inexperienced conscripts for skirmishes with the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, a terrorist group accused of setting off bombs in Tashkent earlier that year. The long-term goal was more ambitious. The Green Berets were one element of an accelerating security arrangement in which the two nations were laying the groundwork for more extensive military cooperation. In recent weeks this relationship has blossomed into the large-scale American deployment of Special Forces units and aircraft on what was once enemy soil. Years before the United States' war against the Taliban, at a time when the State Department was worrying over the dreary human rights record of President Islam Karimov's authoritarian government.

US Special Forces Beat Retreat as Enemy 'Fought Back

THE American troops who took part in last Friday's raids inside  Afghanistan encountered far heavier opposition than they expected, forcing commanders to call in the SAS for future missions.   The "cosmetic" raids were designed to provide a show of something  happening on the ground, both for the psychological impact on the Taliban  and to appease a US public increasingly frustrated with the slow pace of  the war. It was also hoped to be able to kidnap Taliban leader Mullah Omar and exchange him for Osama Bin Laden. 

Targets were selected because they were thought to be poorly defended and could be easily filmed to demonstrate that ground troops could go where they wanted.   But the soldiers from Delta Force, the US equivalent of the SAS, and the  US Rangers were stunned by the resistance they met and had to get out sooner than expected, Pentagon sources said. 

"The raid was a success from the intelligence point of view," one said.  "We got lots of intelligence. But our men were surprised by the amount of resistance they ran into. 

"The speed with which the Taliban launched a counter-attack came as a bit of a shock. They fought like maniacs, we didn't expect that. Intelligence  got it wrong." 

Two US Rangers were killed when their helicopter crashed inside Pakistan. Another helicopter landed so quickly while attempting to get the Rangers out that it lost part of its undercarriage. The Taliban still claims that it killed between 20 and 25 other commandos, a claim which the Pentagon initially denied but which it now refuses to comment on at all. 

The wheels and metal were later exhibited for television cameras by the Taliban, who claimed to have shot it down.   Donald Rumsfeld, US defense secretary, admitted yesterday that the Taliban was a more formidable foe than the allies expected. 

He told the weekly magazine US News and World Report:
"These are very tough people. They've made careers out of fighting, and they're not going to roll over." 

Adml Sir Michael Boyce, Britain's Chief of Defense Staff, gave warning in  an interview with the New York Times that "quick pinprick" operations would not be enough. 

"The quick operation would be good for certain  targets. It may be an  important intelligence hit. It may be an al-Qa'eda senior person to be lifted." 

But sometimes the troops would need to stay longer to achieve "a proper reconnaissance", he said. "It is conceivable that we could conduct an operation for a period of weeks." 

Both Sir Michael and Colin Powell, US secretary of state, said the war could go on into the holy month of Ramadan, something that may strain further a coalition already showing signs of fraying. 

But Sir Michael told the Financial Times: "We're not aware Ramadan stops terrorists claiming to be good Muslims from conducting terrorist raids."
