It doesn't respect an up-to-date understanding of 'nature' or 'naturalism' as one story among many. Yes, "nature" allows for a closer reading and less speculation than other stories...but it is a story nevertheless.

More, I disagree with those who say that only calm, rational talk is effective and appropriate. It is true that calm rational argumentation free of profanity and epithets is needed and that there must be some forums which speak in that way only - but there should, must be others - passionate expression is needed in other places as well - Cobb is absolutely right - it is a mistaken assumption that all have heard it, that it merely plays into stereotypes and is counter productive. There can be good and bad forums that use it, and good and bad use of profanity, epithets and passionate talk. To say that there should be no forums and no such talk, would be like saying that an entire kind of music, art or science is bad or un-useful, rather than a correct assessment that there will be some effective an ineffective practitioners among those genres and disciplines.Note how the left always wants to silence critical voices when it comes time to criticize Niggers and Jews.
