BOOK REVIEW

This is a work of fiction, part one in a series of fantasy works done by Susan Cooper, a rising star on the literary circuit. This book is a perfect gift for your kids, preteens and teens, and even adults will enjoy it. Her stories revolve heavily around old Celtic and Aryan legends, heroes, rites, rituals and lore, to weave an intricate and exciting plot of good against evil that spans all the way from our time to the middle ages. Ancient Celtic and Druidic gods and creatures and beasties of ancient times come to life again to war against the forces of darkness and the ancient foes of old. A young English boy is suddenly caught up in this war, and becomes a pivotal part in the battle of life over death, light over dark, and the ancient gods warring against each other. Ancient Druidic and Celtic rites and magick are performed in spellbinding rituals that demand the reader's attention. Your kid won't put it down, and he'll learn about our ancient roots in a very exciting and memorable way...

If you want to instill something besides liberal lies and propaganda into the minds of your children, this is a perfect tool to use. They'll come away with a deep love and respect for their ancient heritage that will aid strongly in dissipating the false guilt in being white that our enemies continually hammer at them. You'll end up wanting all of her works. Though a movie was made recently about the first book, it doesn't do it justice. Few movies ever do. It is however, slickly made albeit a little crowded and intricate, and I advise to stay with the printed word. Hats off to Miss Cooper for being the kind of author our people have sorely needed for some time now...
